Hampton Castle is the quintessential 15th-century castle with over 500 acres of incredible grounds. Winter (December – February) tends to be a quieter wedding season, but that also makes it more budget-friendly. With highs of around 6°C to 9°C (43°F to 48°F), you’ll want a venue that is predominantly indoors, such as The Jacobean Hotel, where you can escape the chill. Just remember to have some outdoor photos, which are wonderful if you catch it on a snowy or frosty day.
Coventry is centrally located just to the south east of Birmingham, making it nice and easy to reach from practically anywhere, which is ideal if you’re inviting guests from across the UK.
To take the train, the city is on the West Coast Main Line, with direct services to London Euston in under an hour, and regular connections to Birmingham, Manchester and beyond.
By car, the M6, M40 and A45 make Coventry very accessible, and many venues outside of the city centre offer parking. For inner-city venues, parking might be slightly more limited or expensive, but most venues are close to public transport options.
