Our venue incorporates the historic Fox & Goose Inn, one of the oldest hostelries in Derbyshire with an abundance of charm and character. It was presented to the Monks of Beauchief Abbey in a license granted by Richard II in 1392. We have maintained some of our original features which are still visible throughout the venue, making it one of the most historical and idyllic venues in Derbyshire and the surrounding areas for your wedding day.
For those of you who don’t want to miss a moment of our beautiful surroundings and stunning views, not only do we have the Abbey Suite, the Orangery and the Priory Room, we have the perfect setting on Pudding Pie hill for an intimate occasion or a spectacular Marquee or Tipi wedding for up to 250 guests and anything in between. We understand that Marquee weddings may traditionally be held during the warmer months, but our facilities and impeccable attention to detail allows couples and guests to enjoy the surroundings whatever the weather may be. Our marquee is framed by our impressive woodland area and enjoys the benefit of its own outside seating area, with our manicured lawns, a sublime spot for your guests to enjoy the views of Derbyshire and when the evening draws in you and your guests will be blown away by the most breath-taking sunset. Every Marquee wedding can be tailored to suit your personal tastes and vision for your day, because after everything, it is YOUR day. You and your guests will be the Crowning Point of Pudding Pie Hill.

Lynn and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything was as we wanted, the level of warmth and professionalism was second to none. From booking the venue to having our big day Lynn and all the team was amazing.nothing was too much trouble.we was allowed in day before to set our wedding up but some things couldn't be put out till the day. So the team did all this for us.the wedding day went amazing and the food was out this world so everyone told us and didn't each much myself. The venue is beautiful and had everything we needed for our medium sized wedding. Right up until the day before our wedding they catered for all of our needs, changing things, making sure that we had our perfect day. The team was on it from the moment my husband arrived, they guided us through the day and everything was perfect, nothing was to much trouble. Wow what a venue! Lynne was amazing and co ordinating the whole day for us and nothing was too much trouble. We decorated it ourselves the day before, it was a lovely relaxed day. Food was incredible we had a hog roast and BBQ there was plenty to go around. Had a great day! Thank you for everything!Had our wedding here on Saturday and couldn't have asked for a better day. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We had a Wedding in April 2018 where 2 local paramedics got married. A few months before the wedding the Brides dad suffered a cardiac arrest and the groom did CPR until the ambulance arrived and saved his now Father in Laws life. Their wedding was a local news story as her dad was able to walk her down the aisle. It was a very emotional and beautiful day and was actually on the local news. I still stay in contact with this couple.

Always make sure you listen to your hearts and do what you want to do, not what everybody else thinks you should do.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Homemade cake pops for every guest..... the bride spent hours making 100's of cake pops.
