With its rustic charm and serene ambience, this venue is designed to make your wedding unforgettable. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but the experienced events team is here to support you every step of the way. They are dedicated to making your wedding weekend as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. Weekend Wedding Schedule:- Friday: Your wedding weekend kicks off with the arrival of you and your guests. Settle into the cosy cottages, each designed to make you feel at home. Spend the afternoon decorating the venue with your loved ones. The rustic setting complements any décor style, from elegant simplicity to elaborate themes. Saturday Morning: Take time to relax and enjoy some pampering with your chosen hairstylist and makeup artist. Saturday: As the afternoon arrives, so does the moment to celebrate your love. Choose to exchange your vows in the charming outdoor gazebo, or opt for the intimate indoor setting. After the ceremony, let the festivities begin! Sunday: Continue the fun with various activities to enjoy with your loved ones. Host a large BBQ in the meadow, hire inflatables or a mini-golf course for entertainment. Monday: As the weekend concludes, it is time to say goodbye. Depart with hearts full of joy and memories that will last a lifetime.

Our venue hire starts from £11,950 in winter, £13,950 in spring, and £19,500 during peak season, including on-site cottage accommodation for up to 93 guests – offering your loved ones a unique retreat experience. With the freedom to create your dream wedding, you can use our recommended suppliers or bring your own, and there’s no corkage fee, so you’re welcome to provide your favourite drinks for the evening reception. Many of our couples recover costs by charging guests for accommodation – for example, at £150 per person for a 3-night stay, your entire weekend wedding package could cost as little as £5,550! I was definitely the kind of person who was planning my dream wedding long before I was engaged, but Knockerdown Wedding Village absolutely surpassed my expectations. Christine and the team were so helpful from our first viewing onwards. The accommodation onsite is beautiful, and the event spaces are fantastic. It was amazing to have the place to ourselves for the whole weekend, it really felt like our wedding was an incredible weekend away with friends and family. The DIY approach meant that we could tailor the whole weekend to be exactly what we wanted it to be. We really did have the best weekend ever! Thank you so much to the whole Knockerdown team! We dealt with Fiona with most of the build up to our wedding, followed by Christine for the weekend. Both would bend over backwards to ensure our wedding ran smoothly. They are a huge asset to Knockerdown and really made Tom and my weekend special. Beautiful venue. Beautiful cottages. Many guests were shocked at how nice everything was. Everyone slept really well and many said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Knockerdown is a fantastic wedding venue. It was brilliant to have the whole weekend with our guests, rather than one rushed day. The staff were so helpful throughout the process. They were always easy to get in touch with if we had any questions in the lead-up and over the weekend they did their jobs smoothly and efficiently. They even sorted all the men's buttonholes for them! Our guests enjoyed being on site. The kid's playground was a bonus. The highest accolades Knockerdown team were behind us all the time. Generous with their time, calm when we were excitable and sometimes overwhelmed, had amazing problem solving skills and kind and supportive through the whole planning and execution of the day. Want the weekend all over again ! We had everything we needed. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

As we are a DIY Wedding Venue, absolutely all of our weddings have been so unique in theme and style so it is impossible to compare! All our wedding couples bring their creative flair to dress the site in their own individual way, every week we walk into the Wedding Room and it looks like a completely different room to the week before.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

We have a tick list waiting for you with all the questions you will need to answer to run your event - when all of the points are ticked off, all parties will feel stress free and your special day will run as smooth as clock work! TOP TIP - The majority of our wedding couples charge their guests for the weekend accommodation to recover the package costs - so we would advise you to charge approx £150.00 per person for up to 93 guests, which then means you would only pay from £2,050 to £4,050 for "Your Wedding Village" for the weekend (assuming you have 93 paying guests).

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We love to see all the different table decorations and favours revolving around the theme of the Wedding, there have been some wonderful and quirky ideas seen on the tables. We also love all the 'extra' entertainment guests bring in like a Pop Up Movie Screen, Blow Up Rodeo, Photobooths, Novelty Bars... the sky really is the limit at Knockerdown Cottages.
