The traditional English inn has been renovated to combine its classic charm with modern elegance. The reclaimed brick and stone walls and solid oak beams preserve the original character of the building, while the modern style and décor have brought the venue into the 21st century.
The White Hart Inn is licensed to hold civil marriages; the ceremony function room can accommodate up to 100 guests for your romantic service.
Whether you would like a formal 3 course wedding breakfast or a more relaxed Hog Roast or Barbeque, we can create a truly memorable dining experience. In the reception room, we can accommodate for up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast and 180 for your evening celebrations. The wood-panelled bar has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, serving everything from real ales to cocktails.
We have seventeen stunning guest rooms on site for your overnight guests. Each luxurious room is wonderfully finished with stylish fabrics and décor. For the happy couple, the Honeymoon Suite boasts a four-poster bed as well as a bottle of chilled fizz to toast your special day.
We strive to make your dream day a reality. Our fantastic team will work closely with you to help plan your special event. If you have any specific ideas or unique requirements, please don’t hesitate tell us. We provide a personal, bespoke service to ensure that your day is perfect.

The day and evening was just amazing, the staff were absolutely fantastic. The whole day ran smoothly and there was nothing to worry about. As a very hands on bride, Katy and Mia were both very accommodating for meetings and emails for all of my questions. The food was amazing- due to guests having allergies, we were able to choose or change items on the menu to accommodate everyone that attended. The list of recommended venders was great, and we used the majority of them on our big day. we will definitely be returning for our wedding anniversary’s every year. we would like to thank all the staff that made our day so perfect and always make us feel welcome when we visit. - CChris08/05/2025I have to say it was lovely.I have to say it was lovely.The wedding venue was charming with some great views over the countryside and the reception room looked beautiful, food was very good, hot and on time, everyone enjoyed it. The day flowed naturally and we would recommend the pizza options for the evening guests which were cooked to order. A lot of our guests stayed in the hotel accommodation and no one had any complaints, we had a generous complimentary hamper in our room, comfy bed and a decent breakfast. We did get some rain but we still got some lovely photos from it. The venue itself is a beautiful place to go to stay, to have a meal, to have a wedding. The wedding planning team and Katy especially are very handy and helpful as well as lovely people ! They get back to you as soon as they’re able to they help you with all of the information. we picked our decorations and bought them in and basically just laid the money on each table where we wanted to go and left them to it and I turned up after getting married to an absolutely fantastically looking reception room. the wedding itself was beautiful. I wanted simple but elegant and that’s what I got. The food is amazing. We went for two different types of buffet and it was all gone! I would completely and utterly recommend this venue to go and get married and it was excellent value for money for us for what we could afford. Keep an eye out. They do deals for certain times of the year or if you have certain things going on no matter the weather you have brilliant photo opportunities to go on. I stay there the night before with my bridesmaids we had an excellent time in the bar. It wasn’t too busy. We had food. We had a good time and then me and my husband stayed there in the honeymoon suite. The beds are amazing and don’t forget to look out for a Jacuzzi bath! All in all it was a fantastic day for us that we will remember we have many memories and photos and we’ve had many guests say that it was excellently planned and what a brilliant venue to get married and it’s out of the way but not too out in the sticks. 10 out of 10 would recommend and we will be returning for meals shortly. It was a midweek wedding, which made it more private for us and the weather was exceptionally warm. We had the orangery for our small reception/meal and it was decorated beautifully with flowers from our cousins garden - nothing was too much trouble and they even accommodated the surprise visit of our dogs. The garden at the back was stunning, which just made it such a memorable experience. Everything was just fantastic; food, drink, service and the staff were so friendly and caring. We can’t thank them all enough and only wish we could do it all again.Mia & Emma were absolutely fantastic at making our little wedding such a perfect day. From the first phone call to walking down the aisle everything was perfect. Any questions/changes that were needed were made without feeling that you were putting anyone out or being a pain. Plan, prepare, communication and care are just some of the words to describe The White Hart wedding team. As a couple that have "Been there and done that before" our day felt like the first time we had done it and now i know why people say its the best day of your life because ours was and that was due to the seamless and relaxed day that was provided. We had plenty of children at the wedding (Old and Young!) but the space available meant that they enjoyed their day without having to sit down and do as they were told, they were free to run and play in a safe environment. thank you to all at The White HartComing up to our first Anniversary so looking back on our Day is filling the day with love again.
