Located just 2 miles from Lincoln, and set within beautiful secluded grounds with its own private entrance to the village church, Washingborough Hall could be your wedding venue in Lincolnshire for the weekend or just the day. Catering for up to 120 guests, the newly-completed Winston Room offers an elegant orangery-style backdrop for your fairytale wedding. Smaller events spaces are also available for more intimate celebrations. Overlooking the pretty gardens, all boast the high ceilings, full length windows and original features give a feeling of grandeur to every wedding reception. From the springtime flowers to the rich variety of summer blooms, the mature garden is a beautiful backdrop for the photographs of your special day. However, should the weather be a bit mischevious, please rest-assured that we're an all-weather venue with plenty of pretty nooks for cosy indoor photos.

Lucy and the Washy Hall team were exceptional in making our wedding day truly spectacular. From the initial venue viewings to the fully customised wedding breakfast tasting to the actual wedding event, the whole experience has been excellent. They were very accommodating to our unusual requests which included archery as entertainment for our guests! Our guests were thoroughly impressed by the food and their rooms, and thought that the venue was beautiful.Lucy and the Washy Hall team were exceptional in making our wedding day truly spectacular. Our WeddingOur Wedding
We got married on 2nd August 2025 and honestly had the best day of our lives. The staff were amazing and Lucy (wedding coordinator) was so helpful and accommodating throughout. Lucy is clearly very experienced with weddings and we relied on her a lot. I am quite a stressy person and Lucy made the planning so relaxed. The venue and gardens are absolutely beautiful and the day ran perfectly, the food and drinks were brilliant. We could not be happier and we have received so much positive feedback We got married on 2nd August 2025 and honestly had the best day of our lives. The staff were amazing and Lucy (wedding coordinator) was so helpful and accommodating throughout. Lucy is clearly very experienced with weddings and we relied on her a lot. If you want a perfect venue for your wedding, then Washingborough Hall is it! Our recent family wedding was held here on November 15th 2025. I can honestly say that the level of service we received was second to none. Not only is the venue beautiful, well appointed, clean and cosy (everything we'd hoped for) the staff catered for our every need down to the tiniest detail and were all superb, approachable and friendly. Amazing value in beautiful settingAmazing value in beautiful setting
We stayed one night for dinner bed and breakfast as a reminder of how lovely Lucy and the staff are. We had our twin boys christening there 20 years ago , we also got married there 13 years ago. The place only gets better , with all the amazing improvements that are constantly being made. Room was beautiful, clean and warm , the food was top class and with the DB and breakfast deal amazing price too. See you all soon.We stayed one night for dinner bed and breakfast as a reminder of how lovely Lucy and the staff are. Last week we had our wedding at Washingborough Hall Hotel and it was the most amazing day, everything was perfect. From the start of the process, Edward and Lucy were with us every step of the way planning our wedding, making the whole process was stress free. On the day of the wedding there was absolutely no stress and everyone was calmly making sure that our day was perfect, having our wedding a Washy Hall made me feel reassured and I felt I was in good hands. We have just had an overnight stay in Washingborough Hall Hotel for a friend's wedding. The building is beautiful especially dating back to the 1700's. I can honestly say the location and the grounds are stunning. The rooms are spacious with the little added touches of tea coffee and water, also the toiletries in the bathroom. The food was beautiful for the wedding breakfast, and the morning breakfast. I can honestly say there wasn't a single thing wrong with our experience. What can I say. Wow just doesn’t cover it. The venue is a stunning location for weddings or just afternoon tea. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, on the morning of the wedding the owners were out in the grounds making sure everything was perfect and tidy for our big day. From our first initial meeting with Lucy I knew we were in good hands with her and that put us at ease and we were able to enjoy the planning of our wedding. My daughter has just had her wedding here and the whole occasion was an incredible success due to this magnificent location and beautiful Hall plus the most professional, efficient and courteous team who work there. The food was outstanding and the level of service was fantastic. Lucy and her team provide outstanding support and service to ensure the whole wedding from preparation, the ceremony itself, the meal and celebrations afterwards is a complete success. Can we have exclusive use of the hotel?

Yes, exclusive use starts at 11am on the day of the wedding until 11am the following day. Checkin for bedrooms is 3pm, unless you are using them the night before

Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?

Yes we can offer civil ceremonies in 3 rooms in the hotel, The Sibthorpe holds upto x 40 guests, the Dining room holds upto x 85 and the Winston room orangery holds upto 120. We can also hold ceremonies outside in the pergoda. There is also a church next door connected by the garden gate, called St.John's

What time can we set up prior to the wedding?

We partially set up the night before in 1 room - mostly all the dining element is set, suppliers can deliver from 6pm the previous night.

Are there sound restrictions at the hotel?

We have a sound limiter as part of the evening entertainment, 3 piece bands with electric drums can play successfully. Live non amplified music is allowed outside for the use for ceremony music and reception drinks on the terrace

Can we offer elopement style, smaller wedding celebrations?

Yes, we can host small wedding ceremonies and private dining's, with an element of exclusive use if needed.

Are animals allowed at the hotel ie dogs and birds as ring bearers?

Yes, we are dog friendly, dogs are allowed to stay in our 6 dog friendly bedrooms. Birds for outside use only. A dog charge is applied to the guest, dogs are not allowed to be left in the bedroom unattended.

Do we charge for external suppliers/services?

We have a recommended list of suppliers, we are happy for you to use your own preferences with no charge. If you choose to hire in an alternative chair, we make a charge for movement of our chairs to facilitate this. All cutlery, crockery and glassware is included in the price quoted. No charge for cake cutting, we have other services ie easels, cake stands/knives that can be borrowed foc Biodegradable confetti is allowed to be thrown anywhere too

Given you have delivered over 1000 wedding days in your 18 years ownership, what are your top tips?

My top tips would be:

Wedding insurance, I have seen several injuries - if you do a dangerous pastime ie contact sprots rugby/football, horse-riding, bikes, you may consider moving your wedding day rather than try to walk down the aisle with a cage around part of your body, not a comfortable day for the bridal party and not a great look on your photos. Crazy weather ie snow in April may prevent your travelling guests to get to you, so you also might move the date to get a full bridal party.

Eat at the venue, we have a 2AA Rosette restaurant, food is our specialty, it is an expensive part of the day, so make sure it suits your taste, we offer flexibility on menus and cater for any dietary reequipments.

What are the time restrictions for closing off the day?

Last orders 11.30pm and all music off at midnight. No resident guests are asked to pre book their taxis for this time.

Other restrictions no fireworks but we can do sparklers

Do you have accommodation?

Yes we have 20 bedrooms, 3 of which are Bridal rooms to choose from all have a garden view - 1 is a 4 poster bedroom, some are on the ground floor for easy accessibility. Exclusive use weddings would allocate these bedrooms to their guests to their bedroom deposits.
