It floats like a vision at the end of its avenue, set amongst 300 acres of formal gardens and mature woodland. This iconic Manor House offers unparalleled views over the Vale of Belvoir in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Charmingly English, the Manor is the perfect venue for a truly romantic wedding. We can cater for a wide range of weddings – from an intimate civil ceremony and reception for 30 guests to a large evening celebration for 350 in our magnificent State Rooms. The staterooms will be set up the day before your big day, making sure you're relaxed to enjoy your wedding day. We offer the very highest levels of professional service and, because we only operate on an exclusive-use basis, you will feel very much at home in these beautiful surroundings. We have built our excellent reputation through a flexible, responsive and enthusiastic approach to weddings over the past 35 years and our guests always comment on how friendly they find our staff. As part of your wedding, each couple is invited to a midweek wedding taster event with other couples to discuss menus and try sample menus. We will also arrange a midweek final wedding meeting for each couple, with one of our wedding coordinators to make sure your day is organised perfectly. We currently have availability for 2025 and 2026.

The venue is a hidden gem, absolutely beautiful, wonderfully clean, fresh and full of charm. Our guests had so many compliments about the setting and the atmosphere. The events team were amazing. A very special thank you to Abbie Norris who was attentive, patient and incredibly thorough throughout the entire planning process. She guided us with such care and made everything feel smooth and stress free. Thank you also to Michael, the catering manager, for all his support, and to the chef for creating a bespoke menu that our guests loved. The whole team worked together effortlessly and helped make our day unforgettable. The bridal suite was spectacular. It was luxurious, welcoming and the perfect space to get ready. We honestly cannot thank you all enough for creating the wedding day of our dreams. I cry every time I look at a picture, watch a video or sit and think about how perfect it was. We both knew from the first time we drove up to the manor that Harlaxton had our hearts and nothing was ever going to compare. We cannot believe how lucky we are to have such a magical place so close. Every single one of you (including the staff on the day, Lucy, Micheal and those whose names we didn’t manage to catch) have been incredible. And everyone who has their special day coming up is so lucky to have an amazing team around them. From the bottom of our hearts thank you, not just for our wedding day but for going the extra mile. The midnight feast, the Harlaxton gift, the reassurance when we were worried. The combination of a stunning venue and incredible team is what sets you miles apart from anyone else. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
All of the weddings we've had have been beautiful and unique in their own ways. Whether the couple chooses to go over the top with grand and extravagant decor or keeps things simple and elegant, it's always the happy smiles and joy on everyone's faces throughout the day that we love to see the most.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It's your day! Always take the time to focus on yourself and your family during the day. It can be hard to remember to take a step back and soak it all in, but it's these calm moments spent focusing on yourselves and the magic and happiness of the day that you remember the most.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We love personal touches! They make a wedding special as they celebrate the love that the couple has not only for each other, but for their friends and family as well.
Here are a few of our favourite examples:
-Personalized photos of the couple with every person invited to the wedding at each guests place setting. The photos spanned the years of the couples lives and showed the role each guest played in the couples lives and the love the couple had for them.
-A couple highlighted their love for travel by having each table dedicated to a place that was important to them and their relationship...first date, first kiss, first trip together, where they got engaged, etc.
-Hand written notes from the bridal couple to each of their guests set at the place settings.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Yes we have but for confidentiality reasons, we unfortunately cannot disclose information about the couple or their wedding.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Our chefs legendary Thai Chicken Lollipop's with Sweet Chilli are one our teams favourites.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Our favourite and most popular midnight treat is our late night pizza station. It's always the perfect snack to carry guests through the evening!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We like to say that things are just "meant to be" at our venue. Harlaxton was built almost 200 years ago as a country home but with its beautifully decorated state rooms that flow perfectly into each other, it's the ideal place to host your wedding.
The day flows smoothly from one room to the next and provides a bit of excitement with every corner you turn as you and your guests take in a new room built and decorated to showcase different architectural styles popular throughout the ages. Add in our friendly and professional staff of wedding coordinators and our delicious food and you have everything you need to create your dream wedding day.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We are extremely proud of the positive feedback we continuously receive from our wedding couples. We love being able to help provide a magical day filled with unforgettable memories for each of our couples and hearing back from them that we were able to meet and exceed their expectations is something we are very pleased about.
