Nestled in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, in the heart of the serene countryside, sits Abbey Farm Weddings, a picturesque, peaceful barn wedding venue. You are spoilt for choice with multiple indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception locations to choose between, all exclusively yours from setting up the day before, right until the day after your wedding.This rustic property belongs to Venue Owners Jo & Will, who also run the arable family farm. As a family business, the number of weddings held per year is limited to ensure a more personal service with consistency of contact.
Abbey Grange, five bed farmhouse accommodation is now available to rent alongside the venue, with designated bridal prep areas and honeymoon suite!
Jo and Wedding Events Manager April, will be in communication throughout the planning process and will not only ensure that your wedding day runs smoothly, but that everyone is given a very warm welcome!
Details of the Venue
The rustic, interconnecting barns and outdoor spaces at Abbey Farm Weddings have been thoughtfully crafted to offer exceptional flexibility, allowing each couple’s vision to come to life, no matter what ceremony, wedding breakfast or evening reception ideas they have.
The beautiful and ancient Church of St Leonard’s can seat up to 60–80 guests and is situated right at the centre of Abbey Farm, allowing the entirety of your celebrations to take place on-site.
Couples may also choose to hold their ceremony under the elegant mezzanine lights of the Old Granary Barn, creating a romantic, magical, and intimate setting all year round. This barn can accommodate up to 90 guests for a ceremony or up to 160 for the wedding breakfast.
For larger guest lists, the Oak Barn set amidst the warm glow of real firelight in front of the log burner, can seat up to 160 guests for a ceremony or a maximum of 90 for the wedding breakfast.
The outdoor spaces in the beautiful English countryside include gardens with views of the magnificent Kirkstead Abbey Ruin, and the meadows, often used for outdoor ceremonies. A courtyard connects the Oak Barn and the Old Granary Barn, while also leading directly into the bar area. As the evening reception begins, it provides the perfect place for guests to catch up with family and friends and mingle over a drink beside the giant fire pit.
Accommodation
Abbey Farm Weddings' own accommodation, Abbey Grange, is the perfect destination for your wedding celebrations. Lovingly renovated in 2025, this gorgeous old farmhouse offers rustic luxury whilst still retaining a warm and homely atmosphere. Sleeping up to 14 people, Abbey Grange offers 5 beautiful super-king bedrooms (2 of which can be turned into twin rooms - a double sofa bed and 2 camp beds for children), complimented by the dining and living areas, a spacious bridal prep area and honeymoon suite. The gardens and secluded outdoor spaces are beautifully landscaped and are perfect for wedding morning photography.

Our wedding venue is EXCLUSIVE to you. Our pricing includes:
Use of your chosen barns with up to 90 seated guests in Oak Barn and up to 160 seated guests in Old Granary Barn, trestle tables or round tables.
Option of Acacia wood top table, limewash or cross backed chairs, evening reception and dancing area.
Leather sofa and huge armchairs.
Wet weather drinks area if needed - all with underfloor heating.
For all weddings up to 250 evening guests can be accommodated.
The romantic courtyard reception area / evening area with twinkling fairy lights and huge outdoor fire pit, rustic tables and benches and warming blankets.
The Stone Barn with fully stocked bar, friendly bar staff and all glassware.
Sofas for after dinner drinks and chill out zone or as wet weather plan for reception drinks if needed.
Fairy lights throughout and tables, chairs and sofas next to the beautiful log burner.
Extensive Gardens & Parkland with views over to Kirkstead Abbey ruin and large patio area for arrival drinks (no sinking stilettos!) plus garden games of croquet, giant jenga & Lovebirds Bean bag game set up for you. You can even have Al fresco dining!
Luxury loos with underfloor heating, a discreet indoor area for your caterers, plus additional outdoor catering area, if needed, are all included within the price.
If you require a larger number of seated guests please get in touch with us so we can discuss the options with you.
There are 2 options, Option 1 includes use of Oak Barn, Stone Barn (the bar!) and the gardens for the entirety of the day. Option 2 includes use of all barns and the gardens for the whole day.
2025 Saturday pricing varies from £8,250-10,000. The lower price indicates Winter (November to March) whilst £10,000 is the maximum price for Summer 2025 Saturdays (May to September).
Weekday pricing varies from just £5,000-8,000. Please enquire for specific pricing based on day of the week and seasonality.

The planning went very smoothly and was stress-free, despite our wedding being quite short notice, and Abbey Farm were on hand to help at all times with supplier recommendations etc. On the day itself, we got married in Kirkstead church, which is connected to Abbey Farm by a lovely woodland walk. We then had a drinks reception in the beautiful garden followed by a sit down meal in the Oak barn and evening entertainment in the Granary barn. Everything was wonderful and everyone working at Abbey Farm (front of house and behind the scenes) are very kind and professional. The venue is stunning and the grounds are well kept, we had the most amazing wedding day there and the staff were so friendly and supportive. I can only imagine how much effort goes into keeping the grounds so tidy and pristine, especially on a working farm, it is a credit to the attention to detail that the team have. On such a hot day(hottest of the year) all the staff were brilliant, they always had a smile for you and were a pleasure to interact with. We have had nothing but compliments on the team and the venue, it was appreciated by both us and our guests. Everyone had a wonderful time and we had the best day. We could not have asked for any more, Jo and Millie were always prepared for any question we asked and made us feel truly at home and at ease. From the first visit you could tell how much they cared, they even had people meeting you at the car with an umbrella. Everyone keeps commenting on how calm we were, but that was in part thanks to the team at Abbey Farm and how capable and in control they were, even when vendors were panicking about the heat and timings of deliveries, they had a solution and dealt with whatever needed doing and we appreciated this immensely as it kept us in an excitement bubble which made the day and setting up more enjoyable. You know that the team are the very best when even the cleaners were lovely(and absolutely deserve a mention), they were so cheerful and had made sure that we had everything in piles that we may have forgotten. They made what could have been a stressful hour very enjoyable, even with a few sore heads. We could not recommend this venue and the team enough, they are perfection! They have been friendly, very informative and amazing at communicating. There are many! The gardens and acres of open countryside, the Abbey and the rustic backdrops of the pond, brick and stone or oak beams all make for beautiful and memorable photos as do the surrounding fields

As a born and bred Lincolnshire family, it has to be honey and mustard Lincolnshire sausages!

We love the Oak Barn and the Old Granary Barn which we have built as a labour of love - they really are stunning! As far as we know, the mud and stud building of the Oak Barn is the first of its kind for over 300 years.

Most proud of the incredible testimonials and feedback our team receive after a wedding - happy couples, families and all their friends and most of all we love what we do and enjoy all the wedding days too!
