Our historic building has a large, spacious, contemporary, interior with welcoming oak features, a log burner, and stripped back to brick, feature walls. This and our fantastic team and newly refurbished premises make us the ideal venue for your wedding celebration. We also boast prime access to surrounding areas. Our “Cardyke Suite” is an elegant, private function room with its own bar and enough space for a band and DJ. The Cardyke suite can accommodate up to 90 guests for a sit-down wedding breakfast and up to 150 guests in the evening for a buffet-style gathering. Weather permitting, our lovely garden provides an ideal location for arrival drinks and the perfect backdrop for your wedding photography. Organizing a wedding can be overwhelming. Our packages have been put together to guide you and help make the process as stress-free as possible. Our function manager will happily discuss these packages with you and tailor them to your individual requirements. We have a number of optional add-ons and little extras that will make your wedding day individual to you and complement your chosen style. Our chef will be delighted to discuss any changes that you would like to make to our menus as well as help you cater to individual dietary requirements. The Best Day Of My Life !!The Best Day Of My Life !!
Me and my husband got married at The Black Horse this Thursday and I was blown away by how amazing they made our day for us. From Sophie being the most amazing wedding planner to Fiona decorating our function room to perfection. The bar staff and chefs were also absolutely fantastic and all of our guests completed how lovely the food was. You all made our dream day a reality and we are so thankful to each and every one of you. If you are in the area or planning a wedding I would 100 % recommend giving them a visit I promise you won’t regret it. During the day, the staff were brilliant and served us all with a smile! We can not fault anything at all - we had such lovely comments about the venue itself and especially the food. Thank you to the Black Horse for making our Wedding Day so special. After attending a friends wedding at the beginning of the year, we knew that the Black Horse would be perfect for our big day. We quickly got in contact with Gail and she promptly got back to us to arrange a meeting. Gail made us feel very welcome. She explained everything is detail and walked through what our wedding would look like. We booked our wedding for five months later. Wow what can we say, we had the most amazing wedding on the 30/10/22 the black horse and Gail couldn’t of been more happy to help with our vision and food options we had, they did everything amamzing and it was all so perfect. I was at the black horse for a wedding. And I can not find any faults. Beer summer lightning, excellent, staff and service exceptional. Which I had first hand benefit of, as a late arrival to wedding and missing the bbq, Gail very kindly arranged for me to get a burger and chips which was of a very good standard. The Black Horse is a perfect venue for a medium sized wedding. Our wedding breakfast and evening buffet were fantastic, food came out piping hot food and the portions were the biggest we had seen at a wedding (visiting as a guest). The suite was transformed into a beautiful setting and Gail (who is brilliant) and supporting staff were on hand all day to make the day run smoothly. Couldn't rate the Black Horse high enough!The Black Horse is a perfect venue for a medium sized wedding.
