Nestled amongst the trees just 15 minutes from Newcastle city centre, this brand new wedding venue is attached to the already popular and well-established Woodmans Arms bar/restaurant in Whickham, Tyne & Wear. Carefully curated by our interior design team we have combined soft natural finishes, a feature fireplace, statement chandeliers and luxurious furnishings, adding a modern elegance to rustic charm. Floor to ceiling windows take advantage of sweeping views across to Newcastle city centre and beyond. Catering for weddings up to 100 guests (daytime) and evening receptions up to 150.

It’s hard to know where to start to put into words how grateful we are that we picked the Willows as our venue. From our first viewing, we just fell in love with the venue. From the amazing decor to the fantastic staff, everything was just unbelievable. So much so that we booked without even viewing another venue as this was the first we looked at! You can tell how much thought has gone into the venue, the decor is fantastic in its own right so you can choose to do as much or as little as you like! The food was unreal! One of the best meals we’ve ever had! Nothing was too much trouble for the team, they were always on hand to support and talk us through each step of the way, putting us at ease and cheering us on! I can’t thank the team enough for how special they made our day, everyone was so lovely and made us feel like we were in the company of friends. The most perfect venue with equally stunning views! We got married 23.8.25 at the Willows and from start to finish it was silly perfect! The day went by so smoothly ALL of the staff were so helpful and attentive nothing was an issue! The food was amazing and was complimented by every guest! We can’t thank The Willows team enough for everything they did to make our wedding day so special. Fiona, Kayleigh, and Kirsty were truly incredible from start to finish – not only in organising the happiest day of our lives, but also in supporting us through one of the most difficult times. After having to cancel our original wedding date due to the heartbreaking loss of my mam, they showed us such compassion, care, and flexibility. They helped us reorganise everything, and made what felt like an overwhelming situation so much more manageable. We’ll never forget their kindness. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly. We honestly didn’t even know what time it was all day – and that’s the best compliment we can give! Fiona took care of absolutely everything behind the scenes so we could just relax, be present, and enjoy every moment. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing. The venue looked absolutely stunning, the team were so professional and attentive, and the food was amazing – we had so many compliments from our guests about how delicious everything was, and how beautiful the setting was. We stayed over that night in the Honeymoon Suite, and our family stayed in the other rooms. Every room was lovely – so comfortable and beautifully done. Waking up the next morning to our first breakfast as Mr & Mrs with our family was the perfect end to an unforgettable experience. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and such a lovely way to round off the celebrations. The Willows will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you so much to the whole team – and especially Fiona, Kayleigh, and Kirsty – for helping us create such a meaningful and memorable day. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of, and more thanks to the wonderful team at The Willows at The Woodmans. We wanted a venue with a rustic feel, and we fell in love with The Willows instantly on the first visit. We can't thank the team enough for all of their help throughout the planning process. They were always so responsive and accommodating with those personal touches to make the day perfect for us and our guests. The team also provided useful top tips and recommendations for suppliers, which helped us to finalise our bookings. On the day, the team couldn't have done more, and they really went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we hoped for. The food was the talk of the guests, with everyone being so impressed with the quality of the wedding breakfast. The venue offers beautiful photo opportunities both inside and around the grounds. We can't wait to see all of our photos and our wedding videos to relive our magical day and take this time to thank the team again for everything they did to bring it to life. Me and my husband had our wedding at The Willows on 24th August 2024. It was perfect from booking our wedding to our big day! Kirsty our wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing, she made sure every little detail was perfect and exactly how we wanted it! As did also the whole team at The Willows. The team went above and beyond with everything which made our day magical. We’re so happy we picked The Willows as our wedding venue and we see why they get so many awards, hands down the best venue ever. Our wedding was absolute perfect the venue is simply stunning. All the wedding coordinators are amazing, so helpful and professional all the staff at the venue are great and made out day run so smoothly. The food is outstanding.
