- GGina and John29/10/2024It's a gorgeous suiteIt's a gorgeous suiteWe had our wedding in the Vermont in October 2024, and I stayed the night before and we both stayed the wedding night, in the Riverview suite. It's a gorgeous suite, very spacious with a sitting room overlooking the Baltic and river, and a comfortable bedroom, and bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was included and was lovely. Every single staff member we met was friendly, helpful and very welcoming.We had our wedding in the Vermont in October 2024, and I stayed the night before and we both stayed the wedding night, in the Riverview suite. From the planning all the way through to afterwards the team couldn’t have done more to make our day perfect!! Tanya the wedding planner was brilliant and supported us through the process, the food and service in Above was outstanding. Tanya, Lukas and Anya were brilliant. The venue itself is beautiful. The views from the top of the hotel in The Above of the River Tyne and bridges are breathtaking. Every staff member of the team went above and beyond to make our day special. We can't fault the hotel/staff in any way. If you are looking for a wedding venue in Newcastle, it has to be The Vermont.Where do we start, Joanne and I had our wedding day here, and I can truly say the wedding team were amazing, from start to finish. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The food and service was excellent as was the wedding planner and the evening venue "The Above" on the roof with 360 degree views of Newcastle was incredible. Great disco and bbq. And lastly, of course, the interior style and views from the balcony were gorgeous and made for a beautiful background to our photos that we’ll cherish for a lifetime. The planning process was made so much easier by Nicole, who was very professional, made good recommendations and kept in frequent contact. Camilla was our MoC. She was great and made sure everything ran smoothly. Nobody seemed stressed which made us feel relaxed. All the staff at the Vermont went above and beyond to ensure our day went without a hitch. We were allowed to use the sky lounge for photos, despite not having it reserved, and the food was outstanding. The taster menu was a very accurate representation of what the food was like on the day itself. The DJ supplied by the Vermont was good fun and accommodated our guests (sometimes bizarre) requests. All in all the wedding was mostly stress free and a lot of this was to do with the hard work of the staff. We couldn’t have made a better choice. We chose the Vermont as our wedding venue and were so pleased we did.
