Nestled between two tranquil lakes, couples will find a modern barn where they can host their wedding breakfast. The barn looks nothing short of stunning, featuring exposed oak beams and surrounded by a Yorkshire stone patio. Its large bi-fold doors flood the room with natural light during the day to create an idyllic and airy setting. When the sun goes down, the space is transformed into the ultimate party zone where guests can boogie long into the night. Services Offered The Hidden Oak team aims to provide an unforgettable experience for couples and their loved ones. A dedicated wedding coordinator will ensure each wedding is a seamless and enjoyable occasion. Couples can erect marquees, tipis, or yurts for extra capacity. Live music facilities are on site, and a dance floor is available. Catering is provided by the team's in-house caterers, who will prepare a culinary masterpiece to suit each couple's needs. Confetti, fireworks, and baraats are permitted, and the venue is pet friendly. This hidden gem is easily accessible and even has a helipad for those wishing to make a dramatic entrance.

Upon arrival, guests can enjoy drinks before proceeding to our ceremony area (if you choose to get married on-site). They will then be seated in our secret garden surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views of English countryside under the stretch tent ceremony area. Afterward, guests will return to our courtyard to enjoy our delicious canapés and reception drinks. The festivities will continue in our barn, where you will have your wedding breakfast from our plated options to our sharing boards served to each table . As the evening progresses, additional guests will join the celebration. Evening supper will be served, followed by a night of dancing. Get ready to put on your dancing shoes! THE BEST Wedding venue ever!!!

Myself and my husband had our wedding at Hidden Oak. Deciding to get married last minute with just 5 weeks to plan everything we came across The Hidden Oak which was a short 5 minute drive from where we live. We went to view the venue and we were just instantly blown away! The view of the grounds, the wedding venue, the honeymoon suite, it was all absolutely stunning. Rob talked us through all the packages available and walked us round the grounds to show what it had to offer. We knew after looking round this was the venue for us! The day before the wedding Rob allowed us into the venue to dress the tables and decorate the room how we wanted it. Myself and my bridal party stayed the night before and we were made to feel very welcome, Rob kept on asking if there was anything he could do/ get for us. The day of the wedding, Rob and his amazing staff made sure everything ran as smooth as possible and they went above and beyond for us and our guests. The food…. WOW! It was absolutely amazing, the best food anyone has had at a wedding! Everyone still to this day (3 months later) still talks about how outstanding the food was! It truly was the best day of our lives and thanks to everyone at Hidden Oak for making it possible in such a short turnaround. I would recommend this wedding venue to absolutely everyone!!! It will always have a special place in our hearts and hopefully we’ll be lucky enough to go to this stunning venue again.

Our beautiful bespoke winter wedding January 2025

As a wedding supplier that attends in excess of 150 weddings per year, I have visited just about every wedding venue in the North East of England, but when deciding on a venue for our own wedding, The Hidden Oak was a standout choice. You can’t help but fall in love with the grounds, even in January for our winter wedding, the setting was stunning and beautifully maintained. Excellent communication with Rob throughout the booking process, and all the team involved on the day gave a personal and attentive service, without being overbearing. Outstanding food and drink selection. We didn’t feel like we were part of a “production line” with set rules, we had a truly bespoke day, where every member of staff went out of their way to make it exactly how we wanted it. The Hidden Oak truly reflects a venue that is operating with quality, pride, and a wonderful family run feel.

Our dream wedding day!

My husband and I got married in September 2024 and our reception was at the beautiful Hidden Oak. As soon as we pulled up to the gates when we came to visit the venue and saw the stunning grounds we were sold. The barn and outdoor courtyard is so spacious. The house is simply gorgeous - especially the bridal suite, and dressing room which is perfect for getting ready in on the morning of the morning. Rob was fantastic with catering to our every need and we really got the feeling that nothing was too big an ask. The food was wonderful and all the other staff on the day were lovely. The day really was perfect from start to finish and we cannot recommend this venue enough!
