The Runa Farm Chapel is the hidden gem of the farm - entirely unique and unlike any other wedding ceremony venue - with its ornate tented ceiling, smooth polished stone walls and shimmering lanterns delivering an ethereal and romantic experience. For the ultimate dress reveal, brides access the Chapel through a secret entrance making their way down the statement wow-worthy staircase, leading directly to the wedding aisle.
The Old Barn is where the eating, drinking, and merriment takes place. A fabulous timber and exposed stone building brimming with character, flanked on two sides by picture-perfect private terraces that will transport guests to the Mediterranean in an instant.
Of course, life on the farm is all about the outdoors, and so we love to share more of the estate’s natural beauty with our marrying couples by offering an abundance of opportunities to introduce alfresco elements to the celebrations; from welcome drinks in the meadow, private dining the night before on the terrace, pizza slices in the kitchen garden, or fabulous feasts served up from our impressive outdoor kitchen as well as luxury glamping pig huts and lodges.

- CChris & Donna21/04/2026Like a guest at my own wedding Like a guest at my own weddingWe truly had the most perfect wedding day completely wrapped up in a happy (slightly tipsy) bubble while Runa Farm took care of every single detail. We would highly recommend them. The food and drinks were fantastic (my mother is particularly hard to please but has raved non stop about our informal BBQ wedding breakfast) , and so many of our guests said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. A lot of that came down to the atmosphere, partly us as a couple but we were only that relaxed because the team at Runa had everything so completely under control. The groom was always going to be relaxed - I had not expected to feel like that!! For context, I run an events company and have done so for 10 years, so I’ll admit I’m VERY fussy and naturally a bit of a worrier—as I know just how much can go wrong at an event! That said, booking Runa Farm was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Although they’re part of a larger group, every interaction felt personal, like dealing with a small business that genuinely cares about making your day special. From Michelle, who showed us around when we turned up looking like drowned rats in the Barnard Castle rain, to Paige, our coordinator, and Kelci, our on-the-day planner—everyone was friendly, professional, and, most importantly, delivered on everything they promised (which is surprisingly rare!). We actually booked a last-minute wedding package with just a 7-week lead time. For me, that was ideal—any longer and I’d have just overthought everything! It also came with a great saving, and I’d absolutely recommend it as there’s more than enough time when the venue team is this organised and proactive. Like most brides, I was obsessed with positioning of chair sashes, table centres, candles and every tiny detail. But Kelci was incredible—completely on top of everything and making sure the set up was all perfect and exactly how I wanted it. She managed both the day and all of the finer details so seamlessly that I genuinely felt like a guest at my own wedding. Our toastmaster, Ian, was also brilliant—fun, relaxed, and great at putting the groom and best man at ease before their speeches. He blended in effortlessly while still keeping everything running smoothly. The biggest thing for me was being able to fully relax and trust that everything was in hand—and honestly, that’s priceless. Before choosing Runa, I visited and spoke to countless venues and often got that “ick” feeling—slow responses, poor communication, or lack of organisation. There’s ALOT of that out there. Runa Farm was the complete opposite and I can’t recommend them enough. From the first time we saw it we knew it was the venue for us, a little rustic a little boho but so chic and glamorous. However what really made it our wedding venue was the support from the wedding coordinators in the lead up to and on the wedding. Eva was amazing and was able to expertly deal with our 1000 questions and no issues were too hard to deal with! Amy on the day was perfect, I didn’t have to lift a finger or worry about anything as behind the scenes she was working to make sure I didn’t notice if anything wasn’t going to plan or have to think about anything outside of getting married to my husband. Mark was fantastic showing us round, answered all our questions and made the decision for choosing here an easy one. Eva our wedding co-ordinator made everything so smooth and simple. From taster evenings to wedding showcases ensuring that your whole day is planned to perfection. What an absolute star she’s been and a credit to the team at RunaFarm! On the day; Kelci our wedding manager made sure everything went to plan popping in to compliment how amazing every thing looked and to make sure we were happy with how our day was progressing. Richard, our master of ceremonies, the perfect gentleman. Looked after myself and the guests all evening! Never once did anyone feel rushed around or sat waiting the whole day flowed beautifully from start to finish. The front of house team at Runa made sure everyone’s glass was always full, were always on hand if anyone had any questions and made our day one we’ll never forget. Especially with our youngest two boys having Autism (non verbal) and having them be just as much a part of our day without feeling restricted or left out. The whole team made sure our day gave us memories we’ll never forget and our guests something to talk about for years to come! He was calm, not pushy at all, and really took the time to get to know us, which meant a lot. On the day itself, our wedding manager Caitlin was amazing. She took care of absolutely everything and handled the whole day with such professionalism and calmness, which meant we could fully relax and enjoy every moment. It was amazing to meet her the night before we went through all the details which meant that I wasn’t stressed the next morning. Ian, our Master of Ceremonies, made sure everything ran smoothly, and all of the staff were so attentive throughout the day. It was truly the most magical day. All the effort and work they put into every little detail was truly amazing. From the moment we viewed Runa farm we were greeted with outstanding service and such warmth! You could tell all the staff genuinely loved their jobs. Then Runa farm itself is just unbelievable!! The attention to detail at this venue we just knew this had to be our wedding venue. We had a lovely wedding co-ordinator called Kenzie, nothing was too much trouble! She drove to Runa farm for all of our meetings even in the snow!! Which if that isn’t dedication then I don’t know what is! She sent a beautiful email the day of the wedding and then also checked in with us the day after the wedding! She has just been flawless, her planning, organisation and just kindness has meant she gave us the best day imaginable and we will forever be great full for the day we had! Now onto the wedding day itself!! Where do I begin? Kelsie our wedding manager and Ian the master or ceremony are literally walking angels! These two were incredible!! Kelsie thank you for being just a truly beautiful person from steaming my mum and sisters dresses for us and getting us drinks when we didn’t even ask was just absolute bliss! She was so so kind and caring the whole day paying me so many compliments she really did make me feel so so special! Nothing was too much trouble and she is amazing at her job. Ian thank you for making us laugh and just bringing the whole vibe to the day! You really do get the adrenaline going and everyone excited! Thank you for sorting all the men out with button holes and being their wingman throughout the day! You are a well oiled ship and know exactly what you are doing and you are an absolute credit to the Runa farm team! The staff behind the bar were lovely, waitresses who were just on it! Knew exactly where people’s food were going and just doing an amazing job! The lady (sorry don’t catch her name) who works the reception was just amazing! So so kind!! Honestly I’m going to have to wrap this up before I cry (which at the moment is a lot) I wish I could do the whole day again! It was enjoyable thanks to each and every staff member at Runa Farm. Having Amy and Ian taking on our day was fantastic, they took care with every little detail, they were perfect. I was also a heavily pregnant bride and they took care of me so well. I have nothing to fault, only recommend! Our manager Amy was absolutley amazing, took my visions and made them look even better. She offered and helped me into my dress. We also had our baby gender reveal during our first dance and she went out of her way to record it all herself and sent it to me, without even asking or knowing she had done it. If thats not amazing service i dont know what is. Our MC Ian, definatley in the right job! Does an incredible job of interacting with the guests, making sure that they are well entertained with just his words. He was also lovely towards our guests in other ways when he didnt have to be. Bar staff were lovely with great service and other memebers of staff were also super. The rustic, boho feel is so naturally beautiful that we barely needed to add anything at all, it already feels warm, welcoming and full of charm. Staying in the farmhouse the night before made the whole experience even more special. The team looked after us so well, making sure we had everything we needed both that evening and the next morning. They were so thoughtful fitting breakfast in around hair and makeup arriving, which helped the morning feel calm, relaxed and really enjoyable. From start to finish, the team at Runa Farm were incredible. They made planning easy and stress-free and on the day itself we felt completely taken care of. They were always quietly there when we needed them, making sure we had a drink in our hands, keeping everything running smoothly and gently organising what was happening with the kids so we could just be present and enjoy every moment. They showed such genuine care for our family too. Knowing my dad was being properly looked after with his mobility issues meant the world to us and took away any worries we had. Every little detail mattered to them. All of the extra bits we brought were placed exactly where we wanted, and seeing the décor moved from the chapel into the main barn without us needing to ask was such a lovely touch. It made the whole day feel effortless. The food was unforgettable. The BBQ wedding breakfast was incredible and is still being talked about by our guests. From start to finish, the team at Runa Farm were incredible. They made planning easy and stress-free and on the day itself we felt completely taken care of. They were always quietly there when we needed them, making sure we had a drink in our hands, keeping everything running smoothly and gently organising what was happening with the kids so we could just be present and enjoy every moment. They showed such genuine care for our family too. Knowing my dad was being properly looked after with his mobility issues meant the world to us and took away any worries we had. Every little detail mattered to them. All of the extra bits we brought were placed exactly where we wanted, and seeing the décor moved from the chapel into the main barn without us needing to ask was such a lovely touch. It made the whole day feel effortless. The food was unforgettable. The BBQ wedding breakfast was incredible and is still being talked about by our guests. In the evening, burgers, fries and churros were the perfect finish and fitted the relaxed feel of the day so well. The chapel, the setting and the atmosphere were just beautiful. The day flowed so naturally and felt completely us, full of love, laughter and happiness. Runa Farm gave us a day we will treasure forever. We will always be so grateful to the entire team for the care, kindness and love they put into our wedding. We couldn’t recommend Runa Farm enough. ❤️

Emily our wedding co-ordinator was fantastic and very patient, given we had less than 3 months to plan everything. The team catered to my dads egg allergy and a celiac dietary requirement for main and dessert. The master of ceremony( a gentleman) the and co-ordinator for the day( i can't recall their names due to it being almost 11 months since the wedding😭) were brillaint. They took care of everything for us from start to beginning. We met them a day before and enquired if it was possible to arrange a staff to record our ceremony since we hire only a photographer, they were more than happy to do this and one of the staffs recorded it on my husbands phone. We were so care-free that we literally danced the night away. Our guests came from from different countries and they were all extremelyyyy happy and lovedd the team for the class work!! I gave a big hug to our MOC and coordinator for the day as i didn't need to worry about anything. We also had some privaye time in the mezzanine after the ceremony and a FIRST TOUCH moment before the ceremony. The groom and bride get free drinks on the bar😬❤️ Runa Farm was exactly what we wanted- boho, earthy, natural with lots of natural light in the hall. Wr didn't add any extra decorations to either the ceremony room and thr hall as we LOVEDD the place how it was!!🫶 My parents and friends travelled from India, Malaysia and Ireland and they really enjoyed themselves. I woulf happily choose Runa Farm in another lifetime.
