Description

We tailor make everything for your wedding to suit you. We don’t have a package wedding deal as we feel this is restricting in the planning for your perfect day. The building is old and sometimes awkward; we don’t have a formal function room. You could say; weddings create themselves at The Ceilidh Place. The interior lends itself to pretty, floral decoration and the character of the business itself is celebratory and intimate. The tables for your meal are long oblongs made to fit inside the café and glass room area of the main restaurant. What we provide is something very special, unique and hugely memorable for you and your party. We work closely with several bands & musicians to book the wedding dance band that suits you. They are excellent traditional musicians able to call dances and walk through the steps. They can also double up as a bit of a disco band at a point too so you have the best of both. Alternatively you may, towards the end of the evening have a playlist you can plug into our PA. There is a fantastic local florist who would take care of buttonholes, bouquets and table flowers as well as larger displays for public areas. Thereafter you can add all your detail like table decorations, displays, candles, children’s bags and all sorts of wedding accessories! There is a good beauty & hair salon here in Ullapool and we are happy to recommend them. There is also a fantastic photographer based in the village called Steven Gourlay and he has shot weddings at The Ceilidh place several times before. We are fully licensed to hold the actual wedding ceremony here should you choose a registrar through Highland Council or a Humanist through The Humanist Society Scotland. All the details for contacting the celebrant are available online. We ask that you reserve a minimum of 10 of our 13 bedrooms for your wedding. The Bride & Grooms wedding night is complimentary. We do hope you will contact us to discuss your wedding day further.
