Muthu Newton Hotel is a historic wedding venue situated in the seaside town of Nairn, Inverness, in Scotland. Set amidst 21 acres of picturesque grounds and offering stunning views of Moray Firth and the Black Isle, this is an idyllic location for special occasions. The main house dates back to the seventeenth century and the classic exterior provides an ideal backdrop for photo opportunities and the stunning gardens are ideal for outdoor weddings in spring, summer and autumn.
The Highland Suite at Muthu Newton Hotel can accommodate up to 250 people for grand receptions and celebrations. The purpose-built space blends seamlessly with the hotel’s historic quarters, so you can curate a party that is the perfect balance of classic elegance and contemporary style. The staff will arrange the floor plan to your liking and after dinner you can take to the dance floor for your first dance as newlyweds. The team supplies white linens, napkins, and crockery for private parties. The ballroom has modern amenities and live music facilities for all your celebratory needs. Wedding parties can utilise lavish preparation suites throughout the day.
The friendly staff and in-house coordinator at Muthu Newton Hotel want to make your wedding experience one to remember. These professionals will guide you through the planning process and oversee the finer details of your day. You can choose from a range of packages, including a Winter Wedding Package. This plan consists of a red-carpet welcome, a three-course set meal for 50 guests, an evening reception, and a complimentary stay in the Bridal Suite. The catering team arranges menu tastings to ensure that every dish is tailored to your tastes and preferences. A master of ceremonies will oversee the running of events on your special day. They will ensure that your guests receive a warm Scottish welcome and enjoy a memorable evening of fine dining and entertainment.

Our day went off schedule but Lynn and Murray regularly checked in with Bride and groom to see where our day was moving onto made everything that bit more relaxed. Guests have all complimented how good our canapés, 3 course meal and buffet were just delicious. Arriving to a red carpet laid out made us feel that extra bit special we had definitely chosen the right venue. We were able to access the venue the day prior to set up our wedding vision this definitely helped reduce our stress levels. Our guests found booking an easy and smooth process with our linked reservation code. If we could do all again tomorrow we definitely would. The Newton were so accommodating for all guests regarding food allergies and for different age ranges. Lynne, one of the coordinators was an amazing help answering all of our questions and helping us run through it and keeping us on track for the day. She was brilliant! Especially as we had both only been to one wedding previously so didnt know what we were doing. The food was absolutely phenomenal and they were happy to cater to last minute requests of sauces on the side and such! Even letting us as the bride and groom have a different toast drink to everyone as we didnt like Prosecco! They kept some Carrots for us to take pictures with the highland cows on site and put anything I needed kept in the fridge in theirs (including just a box of fresh flower petals) It was honestly a brilliant day and the function room looked amazing all spread out and with the starlight ceiling for the after party ❤️ Thankyou so much to all the staff at the venue!
