I cannot thank everyone enough for what you did for our wedding. From the first moment that we made contact regarding our wedding the whole process has been seamless. We were constantly kept in the loop as to what was happening and options available to us.
Every question we asked was answered promptly and with no need for a follow up. As someone who likes to know the fine details and plans everything meticulously the whole planning and communication was excellent. Even in the last few days and hours in the run up to the wedding, Laura was on hand to answer any concerns that I had, even giving final tips as I prepared to walk down the aisle.
We decided from the beginning that based on us as a couple that we wanted a wedding that everyone would remember for all the right reasons, and we delivered. I have been to see family and friends since we got married and they are still talking about it. The entertainment that could have gone horribly wrong, that brought two families together, that was pulled off without a hitch. To the food that guests said was the best wedding meal if not the best meal they have ever had, you also managed to get a friend to eat not well done which in itself is an achievement. Guests were also commenting on how good the evening buffet was, something that doesn’t normally get a second thought. All in all the menu, wine and service provided by the Lowry was outstanding. Firstly I would appreciate if your would please pass my compliments onto the chef and the kitchen as a whole, Peter and I will be dining soon as we enjoyed it so much.
Everything about the process, the packages available, the spa team on site who tried to destress us before the big day, the rooms that we had over the 4 nights, the moving of our belongings and gifts all went exceptionally smoothly. If anything went wrong I didn’t know about it.
I have a couple of people that I would like to thank. The operations team Luke and Gary. The room looked fantastic, the wedding breakfast was fantastic and the service impeccable. Having to turn the room around twice was a task in itself and was carried out with no disruption. It was appreciated that the ops team checked that everything was ok and we had the opportunity to meet before the day. I also want to make a mention to the bar team from the river room. As we got to see them over the 4 days they also were welcoming and friendly. Once again no request was too difficult.
Finally and most importantly. I need to give a massive thanks to Laura. If it hadn’t been for her I don’t think the wedding would have gone so smoothly. I bombarded Laura with questions in the months running up to it, and she answered them quickly. Even issues I was having with suppliers in the final weeks she chased to get answers from, even with Slatterys who you work with regularly to put my mind at rest. Even on the day she was still running around for me, and finalising any concerns that I may have. Being reminded to breathe as I walked down the aisle was well advised and capturing the moment we were walking down for photos just added those little touches that I didn’t expect but appreciated both on the day and looking back at it today.
Peter and I agree that if we could do it all again we would, minus the stress and we believe that this was driven by the team at the Lowry.
Thank you again
Clare
