Tucked deep within the whispering trees of Bruntwood Park, there’s a place where weddings come with a wink, and a whisper of something marvellously unexpected. Oddfellows On The Park isn’t just a venue. It’s a living gallery of curious romance, where foxes wear frock coats, chandeliers lie on the floor and every "yes" feels entirely your own.
We’re known for doing weddings differently. Not louder, not grander - but deeper, more characterful, more intimately yours. From heartfelt ceremonies with just 10 of your favourite people, to full-blown celebrations with 72 day guests and up to 120 for the evening, we tailor each experience to fit your story, not the other way round. Our Parlor Rooms are where it all happens - from candlelit I do’s to lively receptions. Go exclusive and take over the whole house... 22 uniquely designed bedrooms included. Our Outdoor Terrace overlooks a gorgeous part of the 120 acres of parkland that surrounds us, while the hidden hexagonal room (with its own secret entrance) is perfect for private vows or planning your next surprise.
From your first visit to your final toast, our wedding specialists - Hannah and Danusia - don’t follow templates. They follow your lead, curating an experience that feels wildly personal. Maybe it’s a taxidermy moose witnessing your vows (his name’s Chocolate Moose), a cocktail inspired by how you met, or a late-night twist that leaves everyone whispering, “Only at Oddfellows…”

What we got was the most amazing personal experience beyond our expectations and a day we will never forget. The whole team, from our initial enquiry right through to departing the day after our wedding itself were fabulous. Everyone was friendly, took time to understand us and our guests (including our teenage children) and went out of their way to ensure nothing was below the high expectations they have of themselves. Service was impeccable, food was to die for, and the venue itself was spotless. We cannot fault Ansah, Liam, Jade or any other member of the team for their attention to detail and care. We were completely relaxed and enjoyed the entire day, honestly so many of our guests commented on how amazing the venue and food were - on top of this loads of people said how amazing Liam was with any last minute changes or help that people needed, so please pass on our thanks to the entire team! Liam was fantastic with my Dad and made sure he was included in everything…it really made the day! Also, your help from day one was brilliant, every detail was catered for, so thank you! The staff are like a family team, taking such an interest in our family wedding and ensuring everything ran smoothly, which it did, seamlessly I cannot thank them enough for going out of their way to cater for us, ensure the rooms were immaculate with a beautiful view too. I would like to give a special mention to Victoria and Jade and the lady who greeted and checked us in at reception (apologies I can't remember her name, but it was 1 &2 September 2022) These three particularly were so professional in their care and overseeing the event to ensure everything was in place. I cannot fault a single thing, all the staff whose names I don't know, were at all times friendly and helpful. Now all I need is an excuse to come back to stay. Gorgeous venue, fabulous bed to sleep in and the cuisine was delicious and beautifully presented. Jade was a godsend in helping me out when I needed to dissemble the wedding cake, which in itself is stressful and she took all that stress away. Victoria even wore the colours of the wedding theme, what a lovely added touch, making it that much more personal. The gentlemen on the catering side both during the event and breakfast the next day looked after us so well. They knew where the left over cakes were, which had been carefully boxed and chilled. Thank you Team Oddfellows!!! A memorable stay. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
A wedding was originally planned to take place in the Caribbean, but the pandemic had other plans. So, we brought Jamaica to Cheadle, and wow, what a beautiful day it turned out to be! From the Jamaican steel drum band to rum cocktails and dance routines, it was even warmer in Bruntwood Park than in Jamaica. It was most definitely a day to remember!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember, your wedding is a reflection of you, so make it as uniquely YOU as possible! Whether it's incorporating your favourite board game into the décor, having your beloved pet as the ring bearer, or including a surprise flash mob dance with your guests - embrace the quirky, the unexpected, and the things that make your love story one-of-a-kind.
