Oddfellows On The Park sits inside 120 acres of Bruntwood Park in Cheadle and it does not do weddings the way everyone else does. The Parlor Suite is where it all happens: ceremonies, wedding breakfast, and dancing, all in one room that earns its keep from the first moment to the last. For those who want the full house, the Galloping Major becomes the ceremony space, with its ornate iced-cake ceiling and a sense of occasion that is very hard to manufacture. Either way, the celebration spills out onto a terrace overlooking the parkland, and all 22 uniquely designed bedrooms mean nobody has to go anywhere at the end of the night.
The food is not an afterthought. Every couple gets a complimentary menu tasting before the day, because the right way to choose what you eat at the most important dinner of your life is to actually taste it first.
The team works around your vision, not a template. From the first conversation to the final toast, you get people who are genuinely invested in getting it right... and who will tell you honestly, warmly, and without hesitation, what that looks like.
This is a place where no two weddings look alike. All of them are done properly.

The team helped me to pull of a complete surprise 2nd evening wedding ceremony where we were joined by many more family and friends to retake our vows again. Having been together 22years why not do it twice in one day. My husband Andy really didn't have a clue about the surprise. The food was amazing, the staff on the day were awesome and the events team worked with The Secret Singing Waiters to pull off the last surprise of the day. When the 2 secret waiters burst into song. We chose to have an intimate celebration with 15 day guests and 15 evening guests, and from start to finish every detail and request was thoughtfully and carefully catered for. Hannah was an exceptional wedding planner — professional, attentive and genuinely invested in making our day special. Nothing was too much trouble, and her calm, organised approach made the entire experience stress-free. Our children were made to feel truly special throughout the day, which meant so much to us and added an extra layer of warmth to the celebration. The hotel and its grounds are absolutely stunning, and we have some beautiful photographs. The head chef was super friendly and is clearly extremely talented - our wedding breakfast was exquisite. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team. We were completely relaxed and enjoyed the entire day, honestly so many of our guests commented on how amazing the venue and food were - on top of this loads of people said how amazing Liam was with any last minute changes or help that people needed, so please pass on our thanks to the entire team! Liam was fantastic with my Dad and made sure he was included in everything…it really made the day! Also, your help from day one was brilliant, every detail was catered for, so thank you! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
A wedding was originally planned to take place in the Caribbean, but the pandemic had other plans. So, we brought Jamaica to Cheadle, and wow, what a beautiful day it turned out to be! From the Jamaican steel drum band to rum cocktails and dance routines, it was even warmer in Bruntwood Park than in Jamaica. It was most definitely a day to remember!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember, your wedding is a reflection of you, so make it as uniquely YOU as possible! Whether it's incorporating your favourite board game into the décor, having your beloved pet as the ring bearer, or including a surprise flash mob dance with your guests - embrace the quirky, the unexpected, and the things that make your love story one-of-a-kind. Your wedding day should be as extraordinary as your journey together!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
It has to be hands down: quite a few couples have included their beloved pets in the ceremony as ring bearers!
