Colshaw Hall is a must-see Cheshire Wedding Venue! This luxurious and exclusive country estate is one of the most desirable venues to marry. You get an impressive 300 acres all to yourself and the chance to tie the knot, celebrate and rest your head in one idyllic location. Colshaw Hall features a beautiful Grade II Hall, the perfect backdrop for photos and allows you to spend the night with your closest family and friends on your wedding day. The house has three reception rooms and seven luxurious en-suite bedrooms. With courtyard cottages and eco pods, the venue can sleep up to 50 on the estate itself. One of the best features of this breathtaking place is a stunning Makeup Lounge, which is an elegant hair and makeup space to share with your wedding party. With a bespoke design and luxuriously appointed, the lounge is one of our couple's favourite spaces. Not to be missed either is The Den! A bespoke space to play table football or table tennis, relax with friends and enjoy drinks before your big ceremony. The Stables Ceremony Barn at Colshaw Hall is a dedicated space for your ceremony. The leaded windows, oak beams and stunning marble flooring provide an elegant setting, with a view of the lake and fountain at the front. Surrounded by immaculate gardens, the Peel Suite is a grand space for an impressive occasion. The Peel Suite has a stylish bar and Pavillion for your drinks reception. From the suite, you can enjoy views across the gorgeous walled garden, which is perfect for wedding photos or a drinks reception on warmer days. Dear Colshaw Hall team, I honestly don’t know where to begin other than by saying thank you, thank you, thank you. We feel incredibly grateful that we found Colshaw Hall and chose you to be the place where we got married. From the very beginning, we had extremely high expectations for our wedding day and you managed to go above and beyond every single one of them!! The day was absolutely seamless. Colshaw Hall is four hours from home for us, and I can genuinely say that we would have travelled double that distance to have our wedding with you. It was worth every mile. The coordinators are an absolute credit to you. The amount of work, organisation and care that goes into making a wedding run so smoothly is something we really appreciate, particularly because we do a lot of weddings through our own business and understand just how much happens behind the scenes. Nothing in the South East compares to the standard of the day you delivered for us. The day itself was so overwhelming and emotional that, unfortunately I can’t remember everyone’s names who I want to thank, but I hope you can pass on our gratitude to every single member of your team. Every person played a part in making the day what it was. From how immaculate and spotless the house was, to every supplier being so well looked after, the kindness of the bar staff, and how helpful and attentive absolutely everyone was, for always being there on the other side of an email 3 years in advance, it was all noticed and so appreciated. You do this every single day, but you made us feel as though we were the only wedding you had this year. That is such a special thing to be able to do and also no wonder you are busy every day of the week, every week of the year!! One of my friends had found out she was pregnant the week before, meaning that unknown to me she couldn’t have the pâté, and you accommodated this completely. One of my cousins decided to surprise me by flying over from New Zealand and arrived halfway through dinner. Again, you simply accommodated it and made it work. I could genuinely go on and on. This was, without a doubt, the most special day of our lives, and so much of that is down to you and the incredible amount of work that you and your team put into it. It’s taken me a while to try and come up with the words and it makes me feel so emotional every time I try and talk about it. I really wish you knew just how much we appreciate it. It is genuinely difficult to put into words just how incredible Colshaw Hall and the entire team were. From the moment we chose Colshaw, we knew it was somewhere special. It is absolutely beautiful, full of character and somehow manages to feel both grand and incredibly warm and intimate at the same time. But as stunning as the venue is, it was the people behind it who made our experience what it was. Throughout the entire planning process, everything was approached with professionalism, flexibility and kindness. There are so many moving parts when planning a wedding, and whenever we had a question, changed something or needed help working something through, we always felt listened to and supported. Nothing ever felt like an inconvenience and we were more than looked after. On the wedding day itself, everything was absolutely flawless. We were able to completely switch off and enjoy ourselves because the team had everything under control behind the scenes. Every part of the day flowed beautifully and we never once felt like we needed to worry about timings, logistics or what was happening next. There were also lots of little details that mattered enormously to us, including having our dog Maple involved in part of the ceremony, and the team helped everything come together exactly as we had imagined it. What really stands out to us is how cared for we felt. We never felt like we were simply another wedding in the diary. The whole experience felt personal, thoughtful and incredibly well organised from beginning to end. Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and more, and Colshaw Hall played such a huge part in that. We would choose them again without hesitation and could not recommend the venue or the team highly enough. Wow all i can say about colshaw hall is you will NOT have to worry about a single thing on your wedding day. Imagine a brides worst nightmare make up all over her dress before walking down the aisle, who sorted the issue within 5 minutes.. Colshaw Hall I have an autistic child and we was so scared how he was going to be on the day.. guess who where the ones making sure our boy was safe and happy all day … Colshaw Hall I have nothing but amazing respect for the team at Colshaw Hall, they genuinely go above and beyond. The venue speaks for it self and i am soooo glad i found them. All day long we had so many compliments how amazing our wedding looked and how amazing the atmosphere and don’t worry about the morning after, During the night when your asleep all the staff pack your stuff and have it all ready for you in the kitchen as simple as just picking got up and taking it to the car!! We got married at Colshaw Hall last week and it was everything we could have ever dreamed of and more. From the day we booked our wedding 2 years ago until the day itself, everything was seamless and the team were all so helpful answering any of our questions and helping us plan our dream day. The venue itself is absolutely stunning with the most gorgeous ceremony room, and suite for the wedding breakfast & evening reception. The grounds are immaculate with so many perfect photo opportunities. We couldn’t recommend Colshaw Hall more & can’t thank the incredible team enough!We got married at Colshaw Hall last week and it was everything we could have ever dreamed of and more. Colshaw Hall will forever have a special place in our hearts. The most beautiful wedding venue, where our dreams came true. I could type for hours about all the amazing things about this place, but I will try and summarise... - Just an absolutely stunning venue. The back drop for photos and videos are insane. Every angle you look at is just pure beauty and elegance - The staff are absolutely incredible! Every single person was amazing and you can tell how much everyone loves their job and they want you to have the perfect day - They are forever investing into the business. Colshaw Hall do not stop spending money to make the venue better (which, doesn't even seem possible, it's so perfect). From when we viewed the first time, to getting married 16 months later, the team has upgraded at leats 3 areas, one of which was the new dressing room for the girls and my god, it was beautiful and perfect - All of our guests said it was the best wedding they've ever been to and they couldn't believe how stunning everything is - The Keys to Colshaw was an amazing experience. By having the entire property to ourselves for the night before and after the wedding, we were able to spend quality time with family and friends and it's something I will never forget. It's amazing! Our Wedding DayOur Wedding Day
The staff at Colshaw Hall made our wedding day go so smoothly. In particular, our wedding co-ordinater Hannah, Janice who helped us whilst we were getting ready in the morning, and Ian our toastmaster were fantastic. Even being as attentive as noticing that when I was about to leave the hall for our ceremony, I turned to my Mum and said that my mouth felt a little dry. Hannah immediately radioed Janice and she appeared the next minute with a bottle of water for me. 😊 The staff at Colshaw Hall made our wedding day go so smoothly. In particular, our wedding co-ordinater Hannah, Janice who helped us whilst we were getting ready in the morning, and Ian our toastmaster were fantastic. The team, the venue, everything was 10/10. Over the last 2.5 years Colshaw helped us build and plan our wedding day. It was perfect and we had the best day ever. We had 200 people all in (including evening) so you can imagine all questions we had. The attention to detail, going above & beyond, the flexibility and making sure everything was set out & running on time was just a few of the examples from the day. Special shout out to Victoria, Katy, Alison & Ian for all their help. David - you’ve done a great job building this set up and your team are so slick. Our guests had the best time and it was an event we were truly proud to host at Colshaw. We can honestly say we had the best wedding day we could ever dream of - thank you again so so much. We went to visit colshaw hall and fell in love straight away and knew we didn’t want to look at any other venue’s, We booked the house and hunters lodge the night before the wedding and the night of, From the moment we got there, nothing was too much to ask for. The team looking after us were absolutely fantastic. It has been 3 weeks since our wedding and everybody is still talking about what a gorgeous venue it was. It is a very homely atmosphere, but still with that extra glam and elegance. Colshaw will definitely hold a special place in our hearts. The team, the venue, the grounds, just absolutely outstanding. If I were to do it all again, colshaw hall would still definitely be the one I choose. Thank you again to all the team that helped make my day so magical and beautiful. What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Flowers were once used dried as confetti from a garden of a family member that couldn't be at the wedding. There wasn't a dry eye in the house!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

There are so many! That's one of the reasons our couples choose us - The Magnolia Garden, The Japanese Garden, Top of the Stairs in the Hall, on the bridge in front of the lake and fountain. We can't choose a favourite!

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We've had many - including cyclist Sir Chris Hoy, Mark Cavendish (multiple) winner of Tour de France. Many of the Coronation Street Cast including Cath Tyldesley who tied the knot here, Love Islanders and premier league footballers. We are an exclusive estate and we are able to provide privacy and confidentiality for those that need it.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Risotto Balls or Spring Rolls - every time. Although every canape Barrett's Event Caterers create is very special!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

We get to sample lots of left over wedding cake - this tends to be sampled at the end of a wedding so we will go with that!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Possible our luxurious Makeup Lounge which is a dedicated room for getting ready or The Den where the Groomsmen can play table football, enjoy a beer or kick back and relax before the ceremony. Or the fact you can tie the knot, celebrate, party and stay the night all in one location.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our couples. Their reviews and feedback in phenomenal and we wouldn't be here without them.
