The Plough Inn, Congleton

My wedding was simply amazing, the staff at The Plough made it extra special. They were all so friendly and helpful. The venue was the perfect setting for the most special day. If you are thinking about booking The Plough as your wedding venue, do not hesitate.

We were married at the Plough on December 21st. We couldn’t have hoped for a better day, the entire team at the Plough had everything covered. Their professionalism and attentiveness throughout was top class. The canapés, wedding breakfast, evening buffet and wine was absolutely outstanding, all our guests enjoyed. Friends and family who stayed overnight were very impressed with the accommodation and excellent choice of breakfast. The barn was beautifully decorated for Christmas, making everything sparkle that little bit more, Ruth dressed the tables and Victoria added more lights , it looked magical. Our day ran so smoothly thanks to the team at the Plough. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Really cannot recommend The Plough highly enough for anyone considering a venue for their special day. All of the girls were amazing both on our initial viewings and all the meetings before the day. On the day itself, they were absolutely amazing and made everything so perfect and relaxing for us - nothing was too much trouble. The food was also incredible and everything provided just helped to make the day a perfect one for us. All of our guests said that it was such a lovely place and one of the best weddings they had ever been too!

From the day we booked the date, staff at the Plough could not do enough for us. They helped us so much with the planning, and on the day the coordinators were truly amazing. They took away any stress and just let us and our guests enjoy the day. It was perfect 👌

We had our wedding at The Plough inn on Thurs 21st Nov 2024, honestly it couldn’t have been anymore perfect! The staff were absolutely amazing so attentive ensuring everyone was ok and had what they needed. They looked after us from the day we went to view right up until our special day! The food was absolutely delicious and all of our guests commented on how nice everything was. The bar staff was just so friendly and the service was so fast. I want to thank every single one of you for making our day so so perfect! The oak barn was decorated beautifully by providers they had recommended and the DJ was also fab at keeping people up on their feet dancing. Our guests have said it was the best wedding they had ever attended and that’s all thanks to the hard work from the staff at The Plough for making it so perfect! Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts ♥️ we even had a lot of snow and they sorted the car park to make it as safe as possible. Honestly can’t thank you enough. Rooms were so comfortable and even down to the breakfast in the morning we all arrived at once yet no waiting it was served with a smile very promptly by a lovely waiter. I know I’ve said thankyou a million times but even that’s not enough. Jo and Laurie are the absolute best they really do try their very best to ensure everything is perfect and trust me it was! We will definitely be back for anniversary’s I 110% recommend the plough for a wedding it really was everything we had wished for and more

I don't know how I can put into words how amazing the plough were on our wedding day. We booked our wedding 2 years before and went to the plough to have food/ meetings in the build up to the wedding. Every single one of the staff is professional, hard working and friendly. The plough made the wedding planning so enjoyable and easy. They were always at the end of the phone or an email if we ever needed anything. On the day itself, I was absolutely blown away by how amazing every was. The day was ran so smoothly by both the wedding planners. They came to see the bridal party in the morning and introduced themselves and helped in any way they could. Every course of food was amazing (100% recommend the sticky toffee pudding). I have a severe nut allergy and I loved the way they served the allergen meals- informing the individual that there meal was allergen free (which adds so much relief to that individual). The venue is beautiful and all there recommended suppliers (black lab events, L&J suit hire, Paperlace invites, Darren Gilbert DJ) were amazing too. The plough is such a special venue as it gives you the most incredible and beautiful day but without a massive price tag. We loved everything about our day and the plough will always have a special place with us (and we will definitely be back for lunch in the pub). Thank you to everyone who made our day so special. On a final note for those who stay over and have breakfast the next day, it feels like a whole new celebration where you get to sit down with your family and friends and chat about the day prior (and the food is also once again AMAZING). If you want a venue that will care about your wedding just as much as you do and will support you throughout the process (and also be completely beautiful) then the plough is for you

Our wedding at the plough on 13-11-24 was just out of this world thanks to the wonderful team!! Everything was so well organised and all the staff were so so helpful! The food was incredible .. we just had the basic package and my goodness it’s hard to imagine how anything else could have been better!! The barn for the ceremony is so special and for the wedding breakfast! Then the orangery for reception drinks is just a lovely setting! All of the suppliers they recommend are brilliant especially black lab, added extra and the wonderful Ruth at Heaven Scent for flowers! When the day before the wedding it rained nonstop, I was very nervous about how it would affect the day. I needn't of worried however as the amazing team at The Plough reassured us and ensured we had the reception in the beautiful Orangery. The entire day ran so smoothly, and if there were any complications we were not aware of them. The staff were lovely as always, and our wedding coordinator couldn't of done any more to ensure we had the best day. One of the reasons we chose the Plough was for the food, we visit regularly for tea and it is always delicious, so the wedding food went down a treat! The sticky toffee pudding is always a winner. The venue is just stunning inside and out, a truly beautiful setting for a wedding. They also have very good package deals, which we used, and were able to tailor our wedding to exactly what we wanted, with our coordinator helping at every stage, along with replying to my many many emails. Massive thank you to the team at the Plough, my husband and I are so grateful.

It’s been a week since we got married at The Plough Inn, and quite frankly, I wish we could do it all again. The staff were absolutely brilliant from the day we went to view, right through to the day after the wedding when we returned to collect some bits. Both ourselves, and our guests had the best time.
