Lush bougainvillea foliage spirals elegantly toward the ceiling throughout the venue, setting a romantic and enchanting scene. Our venue is fully licensed for Civil Ceremonies in three beautiful locations: the Ladybird Room, the Acorn Room, and our charming Outdoor Pavilion. Each setting offers its own unique ambiance. What truly sets The Oak Tree apart is its inherent beauty. Adorned with lights and lush foliage, each space already exudes charm, requiring minimal additional decoration. What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Remember to have fun and enjoy every moment! We completely understand that planning a wedding can feel overwhelming at times, but the day itself goes by so quickly—so it’s important not to let any stress take away from it.

Our team will be there every step of the way, taking care of the details so you can relax and truly enjoy your special day.

Do you host more than one wedding per day?

No - all our events are exclusive use, and we offer venue hire from 10am-12am (or 2pm-12am for our Twilight Weddings) so no other events or appointments will take place at the venue during these times. We believe that your Wedding Day needs to be all about you - you deserve it!!

Can we bring in our own caterers?

We work with 7 amazing external catering companies that cover all types of cuisines and service styles. Some of which have been working with us longer than The Oak Tree has been a Wedding Venue for!

Whether you would like a relaxed and informal BBQ, or a sit down 3 course meal. Our caterers have you covered!

Due to hygiene and allergen purposes, we kindly ask that you choose from this list. All our caterers are great at tailoring their menus to suit any dietary requirements or special requests.

Are there any hidden costs we should be aware of?

Not at all! We pride ourselves on providing you with an honest quote with no hidden extras!

This includes the use of our fairy lights, foliage, log fire, fire pit tables, use of our prep rooms and so much more!

Who is responsible for running the Wedding Day?

Our small, dedicated team of coordinators will be on hand to support you throughout your wedding planning journey, and any of us will be happy to help with your questions along the way.

Around two months before your wedding, we’ll invite you in for a final run-through meeting to go over all the logistics and timings for your big day. The coordinator you meet with will then become your main point of contact in the final weeks leading up to the wedding, ensuring everything is perfectly in place.

On the day itself, your coordinator will be there to make sure everything runs smoothly. This is be from mid-morning setup all the way through until after your first dance. Then they will hand over to our bar supervisor, who will take care of the rest of the evening so you can relax and enjoy every moment.

Can we decorate the venue ourselves?

We understand that the wedding ideas all over Instagram and TikTok make it seem very inviting to decorate the venue yourselves. We have had many creative couples that have enjoyed the project - so we do offer this an option.

However, we would encourage you to look into professional venue dressers as we would not want the additional pressure to spoil your day. There are so many amazing venue dressers around the Cheshire area, that you can trust to execute your vision, and can take a huge weight off your shoulders on the morning of your wedding! We have found that the most relaxed brides and grooms are those who can just focus on getting ready!

We do not offer access to the venue to setup the day before due to other Wedding commitments. You have access from 10am to the venue if you wish to dress this yourself - please consider this when planning the logistics of your day!

Do you offer drinks packages?

Rather than fixed drinks packages, we offer a more flexible approach—allowing you to choose your own reception drinks, toast drinks and table wines. These are available at a discounted rate per flute or bottle, so you still benefit from package-style savings while selecting exactly what you and your guests will enjoy.

With a fully licensed bar here at The Oak Tree, we’re able to be wonderfully flexible when it comes to your drinks choices. Whether you’re dreaming of Baby Guinness shots for the toast, a refreshing cloudy lemonade station, or even a fun mimosa bar, we’re happy to help you create something that feels perfectly personal to your day.

Can we throw confetti at your venue?

It is in our best interests to protect the beautiful landscape in the Cheshire Countryside. We kindly ask that you use naturally coloured dried petals for your confetti shot.

(Bubbles are also appearing to be a great eco-friendly alternative to confetti!)

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Planted inside the venue are real bougainvillea plants which have been growing for almost 20 years. They started as a little bulb that got flown over from Greece years ago, and they now spiral along the oak beams and up to the skylights and flower throughout the year.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

We are proud of our small, dedicated wedding team. We have had a variety of careers including customer service, hospitality, nursing, teaching, performing arts and interior design. We truly believe that our combination of unique experiences, traits, and skills, enables us to provide the best level of service for all our couples!
