We stayed over the night before and the rooms were gorgeous, a great place to get ready in! Everything was so well organised. The bar and waiting staff were exceptional and the food far exceeded our expectations. Our dog was even allowed into the ceremony room for a short while to be our ring bearer and have some picture! The day was truly wonderful and we can’t thank everyone at Oddfellows Stunning venue for our wedding and Rebecca and team went above and beyond to make the experience magical! We stayed over the night before and the rooms were gorgeous, a great place to get ready in! Everything was so well organised. On the day we had amazing staff looking after us and everything went off without a hitch, the venue looked fantastic and we thought it was great value for the quality of the rooms, hotel and what is included, the food was delicious too.We loved our wedding at Oddfellows, we felt really supported during the planning of the day and they were so flexible around what we wanted. They were more than happy to cater to our needs, ensuring that we had a vegan wedding breakfast that was truly delicious! On the day of our wedding, the staff could not do enough! Oddfellows could not have been more acomodating from start to finish. They made the room look amazing, no request was too much trouble. They came back to us so quickly which made planning enjoyable rather than stressful. Every single person that came to the wedding has commented on how lovely it was, the facilities were great and the food was outstanding. Big shout out to all the staff, who were so lovely before the ceremony and on the day and really made those staying over feel welcome (including my elderly grandparents)We decided back in November to have a smaller wedding in January with 32 people. As soon as we stepped in we knew that Oddfellows was the place we wanted to get married in. We didn't want the traditional venue and that's exactly what we got, the best party surrounded by family and friends. The food was amazing, the staff very friendly and attentive...just perfect. The room was decorated in such a nice way, which set the tone. There was a table of wine ready for when we arrived as requested, and you provided us with a sound system that I had asked for. It was excellent. I would not hesitate to work with you again, and I would recommend Odd Fellows to anyone thinking of hosting a party. From the initial booking up until the day itself, Oana and Rebecca were both fantastic and nothing was ever too much. We've been told by many of our guests that our drinks reception was the best they've ever been to, everyone was up dancing and having an absolute ball which is exactly what we wanted. The food was amazing and there was plenty of variety for us to choose from during our menu tasting which was a lovely addition to the wedding package. Overall, we just want to thank Oddfellows for creating such a special day for us and helping us make memories which will last a lifetime. Firstly, the rooms you hire offer two different things. The bar area has lots of seating and an open and relaxed feel, with lots of space for a band, dancing, tables for cake, card things, etc, and an outdoor terrance for smokers or to cool down after dancing all night. The other room has more of a traditional wedding type feel with a dance floor, set out tables and chairs to eat and, etc. We also utilised large landing space to serve the food, but more importantly had a large sofa and TV so people could watch the Rugby World Cup!! With these three different areas all offering something different, there was something for everyone and if you wanted to chill, chat or dance it gave the option for all. When planning the wedding the events team at Oddfellows were honestly amazing. Everything was thought of before hand, with a high level of communication at all times. Also on the night the team working were brilliant and the guests commented how great they were. The space is safe for children and no one who wasn’t part of the wedding wondered in, which I have seen happen at weddings in other locations that have public bars in. How many event spaces are available for weddings?
Oddfellows Chester offers several beautiful event spaces, including The Grown Up, The Secret Garden, and The Grown Up Bar. Each space can be tailored to suit your wedding style and guest count. You can view our event spaces here.
When do we need to pay for the wedding?
Your initial deposit to secure your date is 25% of the value of your wedding, 6 months before the big day another 50% is required and the final balance to be paid 6 weeks before the wedding.
Is catering provided in-house?
Yes, Oddfellows Chester offers in-house catering services featuring delectable menus prepared by our skilled chefs. We can work with you to create a menu that suits your preferences and dietary requirements.
Can I bring my own vendors?
Yes but we do require a certificate of Public Liability insurance from the vendors, please confirm any external suppliers with your designated wedding coordinator.
Are dogs or other pets allowed to be a part of my big day?
We think dogs make the cutest ring bearers and as part of the family they should absolutely be part of your big day! We ask that they do only stay for the ceremony and a few sneaky pics (and cuddles)!
Do you have access for disabled guests?
For small intimate weddings on the ground floor, we are able to accommodate disabled access, however; as Oddfellows Chester is a listed building, we only have access via stairs to the event spaces on the first floor.
Can you accommodate intimate weddings as well as larger ones?
Of course, we do intimate weddings like none other!
Is on-site accommodation available for wedding guests?
Yes, Oddfellows Chester features boutique-style rooms and suites, providing convenient on-site accommodations for you and your wedding guests.
