Welcome to Owen House Wedding Barn, Our family-run venue in the heart of rural Cheshire.
We lovingly converted the barn in 2013 with one simple idea in mind: to create a place where couples could celebrate their wedding in a way that feels relaxed, personal and completely their own. Just a beautiful countryside space full of warmth, character and heart.We’re tucked away in Mobberley and offer totally exclusive weddings, which means when it’s your day, the place is yours. From civil ceremonies to evening celebrations, everything happens here in one place, so you can truly settle in and enjoy every moment. We’ve created spaces to make the day easy, fun and unforgettable, from our Beauty Shed for hair and make-up, to the (very real) BaaBER Shed for getting ready, pre-wedding prep and a few celebratory drinks.
There’s a ‘secret’ breakout room for guests who fancy a breather, the beautiful Birds and Bees Suite for your wedding night and The Shooting Gallery, The Hay bales and The Pond which gives you the most magical photo opportunities throughout the day & night.
But more than anything, we care about the people. the couples, the families, the stories and the moments. We’re so proud of what Owen House Wedding Barn has become and we’d love to share it with you.

The venue captured our vision for our big day perfectly and made it feel so incredibly special and intimate. Kris was on hand all day and was absolutely incredible, reassuring us with any questions we had and guiding us on what to do and where to go, which made the day feel completely stress-free. The whole team were amazing from the moment we met them at the open day right through to leaving the morning after our big day. The venue was so beautiful on our wedding day, and we had so many guests comment on the atmosphere and how gorgeous it was. We can’t recommend Owen House Wedding Barn enough and would choose this venue over and over again ❤️We had the most amazing wedding day at Owen House Wedding Barn – it was perfect in every single way. We had visited a number of barns but non of them had what Owen house has. We met Kris who showed us around the barn and went on to be our wedding coordinator, she was with us every step of the way and was an absolute god send, the day ran smoothly anything that cropped up Kris was all over it and it was resolved without any stress (and before I was even aware)! The rest of the staff team were incredible on the day, so friendly and helpful. The barn speaks for itself, it’s absolutely stunning, there isn’t a thing that hasn’t been considered. The photos .. WOW. The accommodation at Owen house is so cool and modern all our guests had a lovely stay on site. We couldn’t recommend this venue more and would make the same decision again in a heartbeat! Our wedding was effortless, seamless and every inch of the day was magical. The team kept everything running efficiently and the vibe was so relaxed. We loved the venue for its relaxed vibe and quirkiness. Every inch of the decor is thought out, romantic and we cannot wait for the photos. Our guests are still saying how amazing the day was. The hidden gem of the shooting gallery was wonderful. We are genuinely sad it’s all over. Thank you so much for the best day of our lives. The hair and make up team loved the beauty parlour and the men equally loved the baa bar shed. We chose vanilla in all seasons and what a lovely compliment to a wonderful venue.The wedding of dreams! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and really doesn't need a lot of decoration to look amazing so you can go as big or as small as you like with it. The staff were exceptional throughout all the build up and always on hand to answer our questions and point us in the right direction (we didn't always know what we were doing so very much appreciated the help!). Everyone was so friendly and warm and helped guide us through the entire day so we didn't have to worry or think about a single thing other than just enjoying ourselves. Once we had visited OHWB we didn't mind that our 'date' wasn't available, all we wanted to know was which dates were!! We loved the separate ceremony and reception rooms as well as the accommodation. They've thought of everything with the bridal and groomsman rooms to get ready and the shooting gallery for amazing pictures. We honestly can't think of anything we would change or do differently - Owen House was amazing. The staff are incredible too, thanks to Ell, Ford, Vanessa and Dan for helping us put on the best day ever. Kirsty in particular was fantastic on the day - cool, calm and collected - made us feel so relaxed all day. All the staff were so great from the very start, supportive and helpful. The venue itself is so beautiful, even before it's made up, but after the florists and everything else it was absolutely stunning. We got so many compliments on the venue including the accommodation, which was a big reason we chose Owen House as well and it was brilliant. All the staff were amazing and took all the stress out of the day so we could really enjoy ourselves. All our friends and family loved the venue and can’t stop talking about it. The staff and owners were so flexible and ran the day alongside our caterers (Vanilla in all seasons). Everything was exactly as we wanted it. The venue has a lovely relaxed feel and the staff made sure we were happy with everything and were so easy to contact beforehand and very responsive to last minute questions in the build up. The venue is beautiful and rural, you don’t even really need to add much decoration to it if you don’t want to because it is lovely and rustic as it is. Brilliant getting ready rooms for both the bride and her maids and the the groom and his ushers. Excellent accommodation onsite and quirky little features everywhere like the indoor photo space with huge bales of hey! The staff were brilliant taking us to see my dad in a home a few minutes drive away so he could be part of our day even if only in a small way. I cannot thank them enough, they even gave us a wonderful wooden owl carved out of wood for our garden! We had the most amazing wedding day at Owen House Wedding Barn. Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
100%, Our Shooting Gallery!! We have lots of different back drops, as well as lighting and a smoke machine, just for5 exclusive use on the day for our couple. Not only does this space allow incredible images but it means our couple get to spend some time together on their special day, to relax and take everything in.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Shhhh, that would be telling!
