Dryfesdale Hotel Lockerbie

We were fortunate to go to a wedding based at this hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were all very welcoming. The food was of the highest order, and my dog was a welcome guest too. The room was light and airy with direct access to the lovely grounds, with extended views over open countryside, via a patio door. We had a wonderful time.

Absolutely fantastic venue. The service and professionalism of the the staff was second to none. Went beyond my expectations. Lots of staff on duty, no queuing at the bars and staff very attentive to all our guests. The food and presentation of it was fantastic. All our guests commented on the fantastic food. We also had our dog with us who was made very welcome in the hotel and stayed in our room overnight. It was a beautiful day and we had full use of all the grounds outside also. Worth every

We stayed at the Dryfesdale for our wedding in April. From the moment we booked (a year prior.........) to the moment we checked out as Mr and Mrs, Glen and the rest of the staff were fantastic !! No enquiry was to much of a hassle and they did everything possible to ensure our day was perfect. As we live in Essex, so far from the venue, everyone there made sure everything was arranged and stress free for me. The rooms were beautiful, food was amazing, my family had such a great time.

What a beautiful place. Just returned from a wedding on Friday and cannot say a bad thing about this place really. We had a really lovely room the furnishings are lovely and the bed was very comfy. All the mod cons you need Iron, hairdryer, TV plus all the luxury freebies of shampoo, etc even a sewing kit which came in handy! The food was excellent, I had penne carbonara on our first evening and it was lovely. We also had the reception for the wedding there and the food again was amazing..

Our wedding day was magical from first arriving at the Dryfesdale until checking out! I want to thank Glynn and his fantastic staff for looking after myself and family who all stayed here and we couldn't of chosen a more incredible place, beautiful surroundings I feel blessed that you catered for us! The bridal suite was incredible, so comfy and the food was amazing! I would highly recommend to any one who is looking for a venue to choose Dryfesdale, we will defo be back for our anniversary!

This place is simply beautiful. We had a garden room which had a place to sit outside with a table and chairs which overlooked fields and trees which were in full autumnal colours. The room was exceptionally large. The TV was huge which kept our son entertained in the evenings. Tea and coffee making facilities and even hot chocolate! We were there for a wedding and nothing was too much trouble.

Would definitely recommend. Our wedding reception 3 course meal - superb - as was the meal on the night before and the following breakfast. I eat very little meat but decided on a well done sirloin steak and all I can say is that it's the best I have ever had - mmmmm I need one now too. These guys really do need a medal ands big one too. Keep up the good work guys.

Amazing Venue, food and staff . We were married at Anvil Hall and had our wedding reception here along with a 2 night stay. I can honestly say I would not change anything, the staff are a credit to this establishment!!!! Everything was perfect and they go far beyond the call of duty to help. Attention to detail in every aspect wars amazing. Set in a superb location too.

We have just returned from a great weekend at this hotel. The hotel was spotless. The staff were brilliant, they could not do enough for you. This place would be ideal for a wedding. The family and guests could stay at the venue. All in all everything was perfect.

Our daughter had her wedding reception at this lovely hotel. The venue is amazing, The food was outstanding, and the management and staff could not have been more helpful. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights here, and would highly recommend it. If you like a hotel with highland cows grazing in the fields nearby and an abundance of wildlife, this hotel has it all. Well done Dryfesdale Country House Hotel.
