Congratulations on your engagement! We would be delighted to host your special day, and make it as memorable as possible.
Our team is part of the Hospitality Services' team at The University of Manchester and have built a reputation for exceptional hospitality, exquisite food and attention to detail - all brought together to create truly special day for you. We are able to deliver weddings in some of the University's most historic and iconic venues on campus, including Christie's Bistro, Whitworth Hall, Whitworth Council Chamber and Manchester Museum.
Each of our venues has a distinctively different ambience, but all stay true to our ethos, featuring delicious locally sourced food served by friendly and attentive staff. These impressive venues make wonderful spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions, through to a brilliant evening party. You'll be supported throughout your wedding planning by our dedicated coordinators, and looked after by our experienced Hospitality and Events team to ensure that your wedding day is perfect in every way.

- WWednesday & Robert28/05/2023Best day of our lives 💕Best day of our lives 💕After having to postpone our wedding for several years due to Covid and the museum refurbishments, we can definitely say that the wait was worth it! Charlotte was absolutely fantastic and was always at the end of the phone/email if we needed her during the planning process, and helped make sure the day went by without a hitch! The museum itself is the most amazing setting for such an important day, and after having one of our first dates at the museum, many years ago, we couldn't have pictured getting married anywhere else. My only gripe, and the reason I haven't given 5 stars, is the fact that the museum have nothing set up/available for playing music on the day. We had to connect to the speaker system using Bluetooth, and there wasn't any member of museum staff available to be control of the music, so my MoH ended up having to control the music from her phone for the entire ceremony and wedding breakfast. We chose the Whitworth Council chamber for our ceremony which was in the same building as Christie's and it was so nice having the whole day in one building which we didn't have to share with anyone else! In the run up to the wedding, both Rebecca and Adam were extremely helpful and answered all our questions. We dropped off all our decorations the night before the wedding and the team at the venue transformed the rooms - it was amazing to see! They even assembled and decorated our cheese wedding cake for us! The actual wedding day was perfect, we were looked after so well by Rebecca, Adam, Steve and all the other staff that were there. The day ran so smoothly, it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy every second. All the guests commented that the food was amazing and that the day was loads of fun. We were on the dance floor until 1am, taking full advantage of the late licence. We genuinely had the best day of our lives - it was the perfect wedding venue and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a unique city centre venue where it feels like you are the most important people on the day!
