We pride ourselves as being a wedding venue that stands out from the rest. Standing guard over the market town of Tonbridge in Kent, Tonbridge Castle, with its rich heritage, scenic setting and panoramic views, is a timeless testament to history and romance and at the heart of the community.
Dating back to the 11th Century, ancient stone walls encircle 14 acres of grounds from which stunning views of the River Medway and the town can be enjoyed.
At Tonbridge Castle, the dedicated team understands that every couple is unique. From the moment you step foot on the castle grounds, experienced staff will guide you through the planning process, ensuring no detail is overlooked. Our exceptional service extends to your wedding day, where staff will be on hand to ensure that everything runs smoothly, allowing you to relax and enjoy every precious moment.
The castle's versatile wedding rooms can accommodate weddings of varying sizes and styles. If you’re looking for an intimate wedding that still makes a statement, the Great Hall is ideal with its high medieval walls and dramatic lighting, it really is a fairytale setting. The prestigious 18th Century Chamber Room offers a larger space for more guests. Positioned in the manor house with plenty of natural light, the full height doors open directly onto the castle lawn - the perfect spot for your guests to mingle with a glass of fizz.
No matter which room you book, you’ll have full access to the castle for your wedding photography. This includes the beautiful Bailey Lawn or motte and you can even climb to the top of the castle for a breathtaking backdrop overlooking the surrounding landscape that stretches for miles.
From the castle's ancient architecture to its beautiful grounds, every corner of this historic venue provides the perfect setting, creating endless photo opportunities ensuring that unforgettable moments of your wedding day are captured forever.

The ceremony at the castle was a very intimate affair with just close family and a few friends present. The grounds and back drop are great for photographers and its a lovely setting. The staff are friendly much better than a church in many ways if you are thinking of getting married I would suggest that you consider Tonbridge Castle be warned though that they only do the ceremony so reception ect would be another venue.
