The surroundings offer you the perfect place to escape, immersing you in romance for your picture perfect moments. And, it doesn't end there - the Grade II Listed Manor House and a beautifully renovated Dutch Barn await your love story. At Solton Manor we have the choice of two (soon to be four!) stunning licensed ceremony spaces for up to 200 guests. You may choose the historic, picturesque ruins of the walled Godric's Garden with a beautiful oak framed gazebo for your outdoor ceremony or in the delightful Dutch Barn with its floor to ceiling windows overlooking the gorgeous paddock. Solton Manor, over a thousand years old and mentioned in the Doomsday book, offers something truly unique for your wedding or event. With a selection of spaces perfect for your wedding day, that include a pamper suite, dovecote cottage, the Dutch Barn, Godric's Garden and the Manor House. The delightful Dutch Barn has the capacity to host 200 people in a modern-meets-rustic setting, with a fully stocked bar and a stage with epic lighting options for your evening celebrations. Luxurious boutique accommodation in the Manor House and even a Dovecote Cottage for the newlyweds are all part of the amazing experience. Both accommodation options are available to book for multiple nights, giving you and 24 of your loved ones the opportunity for a multi-day or weekend wedding. From the first time we spoke to Jackie, we felt truly supported and welcomed! Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, but being able to book the Manor House to stay with our friends and family on both the nights before and after just made the whole wedding experience so special. We only had a couple of months to plan our wedding, and the whole team was absolutely wonderful, and Emilie who helped us plan all the finer details was incredibly supportive. Everything felt possible, non-fuss and we had the most magical wedding. Getting married just before Christmas also meant that they had put up lots of decorations already, which made it so easy for us to fill in the blanks. Their list of trusted suppliers was a godsend. Plus the fact that the cottage was dog friendly and our fur baby could be part of the celebrations was just the cherry on the cake. Thank you Solton Manor! We looked at many venues for our wedding but it is impossible to not be amazed by the beauty of Solton Manor as soon as you start the drive up, keeping in mind we first looked at the venue on a rainy day in February and then it was hard to believe what it would look like on a summers day but it looked absolutely gorgeous. We would personally love to thank Karen, Jackie and all the team there. The bar manager was great too, Karen was fantastic from start to finish of everything and was there to answer the many questions we had and if Karen wasn’t able to then Jackie was there. The whole team made sure we had a great day and we can’t thank them enough because genuinely was the best day of our lives, we had a big wedding with lots of guests and an even bigger party and every single one of them also complimented on the venue and how they all had a fantastic time too. Their partnered caterers were also fantastic ‘Invicta Design’ the food was gorgeous and the evening buffet was exactly what was needed after a big day and we can’t thank Teresa enough for again being there from start to finish.Last weekend of July 2024, was the best day ever. Every wedding is special, it's impossible to choose! I love to see couples putting their own stamp on their day that reflects their personalities. Solton Manor is versatile so we are lucky to see many different styles of weddings, from all cultures.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be true to yourselves. Forget the latest fads and what's on trend and make sure that your day is a true reflection of all the things you both love! Work out in which areas you want to put most of your budget and make sure your wedding reflects you as a couple.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A real stand out for me is a Bride that hand designed all of the bridesmaids dresses and the groom's suit with amazing illustrations!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Godric's garden has so many, and we are surrounded by such beautiful fields too! But if I had to choose then the summerhouse on the lake would be the winner, especially at twilight.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We may have had a few, but our lips are sealed!
What’s your favourite canapé?
Our amazing Invicta Catering do so many lovely ones, but a favourite with staff and couples is the salt and lime cured salmon with dill and lime sour cream.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
There is nothing better than polishing off the sweet table for a late night treat!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our beautiful manor house! The original manor house is over 1000 years old, and many of the original features remain, such as the impressive inglenook fireplace in the Tudor Hall and the exposed timber beams in the bell tower. The house has been renovated and modernised over the years but its elegant history remains.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The ability to create completely bespoke weddings. Couples could choose to host their wedding day with us or turn it into a family gathering, spanning across a few days and using all of our accommodation. Every wedding is different and our amazing team are dedicated to making each day special.
