We have a young child so it was important we could put him to bed on site and we always wanted a simple and relaxed pub for after the formalities of the ceremony. I remember the first day setting foot in The White Horse for an initial look around and I was completely taken aback. It was perfect. The look and feel of the pub was just what we wanted and it lent itself so nicely for our autumnal wedding in the countryside, plus we barely needed to touch it with decorations. The food is fantastic, the rooms are all beautiful, and the staff are nothing short of superheroes. We had canapès and Prosecco on arrival (the chicken satay was a firm favourite). We didn't want a sit down meal so opted for bowl food served wherever you were and it worked just how we wanted it to. All of our guests were very complimentary of the food and they raved about the service. We can't thank Julie, Sarah and the rest of the team at The White Horse enough for making our day so perfect, and we highly recommend The White Horse as a venue. (We even got a cute card and pressie to congratulate us.) We will definitely be back for anniversaries and any other excuses we can make. We wanted a perfect country pub wedding and The White Horse gave us just that. It is the most beautiful wedding venue. It's set in a beautiful secluded location and the inside and outside is just so pretty and unique. From the moment we go there on the Friday before we got married all of the staff especially Richard, Emma, Jenna, Dion and Mitch made us feel so welcome. Nothing was ever any trouble and they were always on hand to help with anything we needed. All the staff were amazing on the day and so many of guests commented about how good they were too. Thank you all so much! It rained a little bit on the day, but this didn't stop us and the staff made a quick smooth transition of moving things inside before we got there, so the guests didn't know any different! We had a few children at our special day, it is such a great environment for them to run around! Surrounded by fields and a lawn next to the rooms where we set up a kids area. The service of food was fantastic. The Wedding Breakfast was just delicious and everyone said how amazing it was. All the food, canapés, dinner and evening food! The breakfast was incredible too. One of the best things about The White Horse is the 15 x rooms that are around the back of the pub. They are all wooden from the outside and look so pretty. It just meant that all of our family could stay with us which was lovely and it meant having everyone together the next day. The rooms are perfectly designed with 4 posters beds, copper baths and some had hot tubs! We cannot thank the White Horse & staff enough for giving us the best Wedding day we could of asked for! It was everything we had imagined and it all came together perfectly. We can't believe it's all over, we will miss visiting so often but we will be back and we can't wait! Thank you!!! The guests were utterly spoilt and charmed by the delightful setting and excellent hospitality. The food was outstanding from the simply gorgeous canapés to the wonderful three course meal. The wine was very good (and received high praise from the best man, who happens to own a vineyard). The service was second to none. Everything was arranged with impressive professionalism and astonishing attention to detail. Add the ambiance of ‘rustic charm meets luxury’ and you have the perfect wedding reception. Those of us who stayed the night found the rooms extremely comfortable and the breakfast delicious.
