We love weddings! It’s what we do, and we do it well. We specialise in hosting beautiful weddings, ranging from large and formal, to small and informal, unique, and even very quirky. Each day is different, and we love it!

- KKate & Darren21/11/2025What a venue!What a venue!From day 1 the team were exceptional, regular communications and updates, no question to stupid and all answered in good time, Katie in particular could not have been more helpful and made the whole process stress free, her knowledge and advice plus suggestions helped immensely, if there was ever anyone totally suited to their role it’s Katie, even better than Santa at his! They've been the most accommodating venue and team and everyone at The Ravenswood works so hard to make each wedding special and magical. Amy was our co-ordinator and she was so amazing at dealing with a bride who was more anxious about everyone else having a great day. She listened to us as a couple and fit in any small changes straight away. I said it in my speech and I will keep on saying it - everyone needs an Amy on their wedding day. Venue was perfect on our special day, it was all set up to plan. The food was amazing - we had guest after guest approach us to say how amazing the food was and we couldn't have agreed more. All of the guests who stayed the night reported how lovely and spacious their rooms were and how comfy the beds were and having breakfast together the following morning was another added bonus. The bridesmaids and I all stayed in the Rosewood Cottage the night before and we all slept incredibly well and were able to have a relaxed night in and use the well equipped kitchen to have dinner. Evie, our wedding coordinator, made the whole process seamless by supporting us with decisions and reassuring us in each step. The building and grounds are just naturally stunning. The planning and communication with the venue has been amazing since day one. We had Evie as our wedding coordinator who was simply amazing at what she does. Our day was perfect and she understood exactly what we wanted. We cannot thank her and the team enough for what they did. They made us feel so special in every way. Everyone has said it’s the best wedding they’ve been too. Our co ordinator was fantastic, helped with my anxiety on the day, sorted everything out for me including some last minute changes. Food, dj, clearance of stuff afterwards was all fantastic. Great venue for photos. Highly recommend The Ravenswood were amazing from start to finish, lots of communication, quick replies, advice, clear instructions if you don’t know how plan a wedding. Everything, from the venue and grounds itself, down to the staff we met on our first visit instantly felt like it was meant to be. Since that day, over 2 years ago when we made our booking, the whole experience has been superb. The communication from the team at the venue was brilliant, with them keeping in touch as and when required. Naturally, the communication got more frequent as we approached the big day! Some months prior to our date, we were invited for a tasting evening to sample some of the most popular food options; everything we tried on the evening was lovely. Closer to the time, we were introduced to our wedding coordinator, Dawn. Dawn was an absolute star. She kept in touch with us during the lead up to make sure we had completed all the necessary steps and supplied the required information to the venue, but more importantly, Dawn was there to help us with any queries we had and to put us at ease along the way. Fast forward to the day itself, and Dawn and the team didn't disappoint! The whole day was smooth sailing, and we couldn't be any happier with the way it went, it was perfect. The getting ready suite for the bridal party is lovely and spacious, and the honeymoon suite is the perfect place to retire to at the end of the day. Our guests were all very impressed by the venue, the grounds and the staff. Everyone complimented how good the food was, for the Wedding breakfast and the evening. Those that stayed at the venue were pleased with the rooms and breakfast the following morning. Thank you once again to Dawn and the entire team at The Ravenswood for making our special day perfect. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
All of our weddings are wonderful but one that is close to our hearts is when Sam, one of our owners got married at The Ravenswood. It was a beautiful sunny day in May (the same day Meghan married Harry!) and seeing so many of Sam and Garion's friends, family and all the staff of The Ravenswood come together to celebrate the happy couple was truly magical!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember, it's about you and your partner. As long as there is love...all the rest will fall in place!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We've seen so many special moments here at The Ravenswood, but seeing the couples dogs walk down the aisle with the wedding rings has to be our favourite!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We have so many but the Boathouse on the lake always captures the most amazing wedding photos, no matter what the season!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Yes we have, but we respect the privacy of our couples. But we'll give you a hint on one of them, lets just say...what a voice!
What’s your favourite canapé?
The Chef does make an amazing Chilli Chicken and Coriander Patties with Sweet Chilli Sauce!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Ice-cream!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The Little Castle which is licensed for outside ceremonies really is our pièce de résistance. It's intimate, it's stunning and so romantic. Just take a look at our photos to see for yourself.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
There are so many parts we are proud of here at The Ravenswood. We do love showing off our wonderful Getting Ready Room, our newly refurbished Jacobean Suite and our stunning Princess Beatrice Suite which overlooks the wonderful gardens and lakes. If we had to choose one..it would be our team. We all LOVE weddings and it shows in everything we do, from the Wedding Consultants, to the gardeners, chefs, housekeepers and marketing team!
