From first meeting you at the wedding fair we knew we wanted to book our wedding with you at the Old Ship Hotel. You made us feel so welcome and completely at ease with everything. Nothing was ever to much trouble and the day was one word AMAZING. Big thank you to you and all the team at the Old Ship for making our day so special.

Hello, We have just returned from our honeymoon and wanted to send you all a huge thank you for making our wedding so special and ensuring all our guests were well taken care of. First of all, a huge thank you to Miriam who has supported us throughout the planning of our special event. She listened, offered suggestions and was very flexible when we wanted something a bit different. Thank you so much! Secondly, the food was incredible. All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how much they loved their meals. Thank you! a special shoutout for Stan - he did a great job! Finally, thank you to Zosia & Sonia who led the way on the day and helped us to make any minor adjustments that were needed. She was such a calm presence - exactly what you need during a crazy but wonderful day! We've been so happy with the Old Ship in the run up and during our wedding. we can't thank you enough! We just want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping to make our wedding day beyond wonderful!! From the first time we met with you to discuss prices and options to our wedding day, we were always confident that we had picked the best place to hold our wedding reception. We were thoroughly impressed with the personalized and courteous attention given to us, a refreshing change from some of the other reception sites we had visited in the area. From the start, our questions were answered promptly and courteously and we were always treated like a top customer. Because of this treatment, we never once worried about how our reception would turn out with regards to food, staff and coordination. (As you know, myself and Luke had enough to worry about!) You all played significant roles in helping us set up such a flawless reception. Words cannot express how grateful we are for such wonderful service. Although we have been spreading the word to others about the great service and beautiful facilities...our guests all raved about the food and facilities and many have expressed how impressed they are with The Old Ship Hotel themselves! We hope to one day hold another event at The Old Ship, such as an anniversary party down the road, to relive the fun we had on our wedding night! Hello, I attended the wedding reception of Liz and Jayne yesterday, and wanted to pass my feedback on to all of the team to say THANK YOU for making it a wonderful experience. From the drinks reception and canapes, right through to the hearty meal, it was just perfect. As a vegan, I'm used to getting something that won't quite soak up the booze, but the substantial, and tasty meal was delicious - I couldn't even finish it I was so full! And it was a pleasant surprise to have a dessert that wasn't fruit salad. :-) The icing on the cake (so to speak) was getting a jug of almond milk brought over to me for my cup of tea, without even needing to ask for it. Little details like that really make a difference. Please pass on my thanks to all of the team - front of house, kitchen staff and others behind the scenes. We had the most amazing time and the surprise act was hilarious!! We’d also like to thank you for all the organising you did at your end. Could we also ask that you pass on our thanks to all the staff that looked after us especially the bar staff who came down the cellars and kept the drinks flowing! It is difficult to express in writing how grateful myself and my partner are to all the staff of The Old Ship hotel. This has been a difficult year of all of us, however on the 2nd of September 2020 my partner & I were married, we had the smallest of wedding ceremonies in the Registry Office of Brighton Town Hall, we were allowed one witness each to come inside with us, all others would have to stay socially distanced outside. We had asked only our closest of family and friends to come to Brighton to celebrate our marriage, all our guests stayed at The Old Ship hotel arriving in the afternoon and early evening on the day before the ceremony. Over the two days of our socially distanced and safe celebrations, the staff organised: safe greetings drinks on the front terrace the day our guests arrived, a delicious breakfast for all (including our vegan friends) on the morning before our ceremony and the day after for those who stayed two nights, a lovely afternoon tea and reception for all after our ceremony. The feed back we had from all our family and friends who stayed at The Old Ship included comments like: 'the rooms are spotlessly clean', 'the beds are really comfy and the linen smells lovely and fresh', 'the staff are so friendly and helpful', 'I/We felt safe as the Covid precautions in place were well organised and managed', We had an amazing time, I didn't realise Brighton is such a great city'. All we can say is "THANK YOU
