The owners behind Kin House in Wiltshire are launching a new private-hire events space in Sussex — LIMEKILN. Designed with the same hallmarks of considered interior design, service, curated activities and all the signature luxuries, LIMEKILN provides space to tell your story, with ultimate flexibility in mind. LIMEKILN is set against a backdrop of Sussex countryside and ancient woodland — from which the lodge takes its name — making it a fully private space for clients looking for an exclusive-use venue. There’s a large dining space for 200 guests, a main bar and lounge, a ceremony space, plus a late-night lounge for live music and dancing, all centred around an open-air courtyard. A split level Apartment can be used as a pre-party dressing area, which has a circular shower bath, large mirrors and a hair-washing station. Each room allows clients the freedom to choose a format that suits their requirements. The lodge is within easy reach of London; just a 40-minute train ride from London Bridge, and 10-minute drive from Tunbridge Wells station. We had the privilege of styling a two-day wedding at LimeKiln last week, and the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From our initial visit earlier this year to the final moments of de-rig, the team extended such warmth and professionalism, an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The venue itself is immaculately kept, with spaces that are both architecturally elegant and impressively versatile. Every detail, from the layout to the finishes, feels thoughtful and intentional. The team went over and above and the attention to detail on the lead up made the day everything we hoped for. The LIMEKILN team have a great relationship with the caterers (ours was Kalm Kitchen) so work hand in hand to make the day run seamlessly. We got married here in May and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. They really thought of everything when they designed the lodge for weddings and when you're outside you are surrounded by beautiful woods and fields. The best thing about LIMEKILN for us through was the team who work there. They were brilliant in the lead up to the big day, answering all our questions, helping us plan out how everything would work and working with us to add our personal touches. We got married here in May and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. They really thought of everything when they designed the lodge for weddings and when you're outside you are surrounded by beautiful woods and fields. Attended a fabulous wedding here yesterday. What a wonderful venue. The staff were amazing. Nothing seemed impossible, and all done with a smile. Bar staff very attentive, certainly knew what they were doing, and more importantly who was next....not sure there were ever any delays in service. Toilets clean. The outside/garden area is restful and beautifully tendered. Plenty of seats available.Attended a fabulous wedding here yesterday. What a wonderful venue. The staff were amazing. Nothing seemed impossible, and all done with a smile. I've done two events now with the Limekiln team over the past few months and I can't fault their service. The space is absolutely beautiful, and Hannah, Isla, Jake and team make hosting so easy. They are efficient and considerate and go over and above to ensure that every guest has the best time whilst at the venue. The food is delicious, and every single area around Limekiln has been really so thoughtfully designed. I can't rate them highly enough, and would strongly reccommend their services I've done two events now with the Limekiln team over the past few months and I can't fault their service. The space is absolutely beautiful, and Hannah, Isla, Jake and team make hosting so easy. They are efficient and considerate and go over and above to ensure that every guest has the best time whilst at the venue. My husband & I got married here in early February 2025. The venue is perfect & the staff are incredible. We planned our wedding in just 4 months and everything was seamless. The team were phenomenal. The team were phenomenal.
My Wife and I had the pleasure of being the first wedding hosted at the magnificent LimeKiln. We were beyond blown away with the venue itself. It offers something different from the usual wedding venues and the best part is its exclusivity meaning you have no hotel guests walking through the lobby from the spa in their dressing gowns. The team were phenomenal. They were prompt, easy to work with and highly professional. A huge thank you to the whole team for a wedding we will never forget.
