A busy and vibrant location during the week, Paternoster Square is a truly peaceful setting at weekends, perfect for unforgettable wedding celebrations. The impressive venue has its own chic, modern wine bar and terrace area, which boasts stunning views of St Paul's. Facilities and Capacity
The Happenstance caters to large and small weddings and can accommodate up to 120 seated guests to dine or 300 for a relaxed drinks reception. With indoor and outdoor seating available, the team prides themselves on their flexible approach and can tailor the venue's layout, design, catering, and service to create the perfect day. The Happenstance is licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies, and couples can exchange vows in the chic and modern interior before raising a toast with loved ones on the terrace. The stunning views of St Paul's Cathedral will provide the perfect backdrop for wedding photos before returning to the restaurant for the wedding reception.

The wedding planner Gabriela was first class, great with ideas to guide us, organised, took a lot of the weight off our shoulders when organising our Wedding from Barnsley. The food was delicious and made the event so special, we could also personalise our wedding breakfast from the tasting session. Staff on the day were just fantastic! From the first look round to the follow up after the wedding day, we cannot rate this venue highly enough. The wedding planner Gabriela was first class, great with ideas to guide us, organised, took a lot of the weight off our shoulders when organising our Wedding from Barnsley. What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
As hard as it may seem, this day is about you. Whilst I know that it can feel a bit overwhelming when trying to please every guest, but that is what we are here for. We try to do our best to ensure you are looked after as a couple, as well as each guest getting the personal Drake and Morgan welcome. Try to relax and enjoy the planning process, and everything will all fall into place.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
The best has got to be when one of our brides had her pug as her Ring Bearer - He did a very good job!

We hold a Ceremony License for up to 80 guests, so you can enjoy your entire day from ceremony, through to reception and dancing in the one space, in an area steeped in history and overlooked by the iconic London landmark that is St Paul's Cathedral.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The service we offer to each of our couples and their guests. Whether you are having an intimate wedding through to large weddings of 800 people, we ensure that each and every guests is looked after. We spend a lot of time with our couples carefully planning every aspect of their big day, which we love to do!
