The Grand Hotel is licensed for wedding ceremonies, providing a truly magnificent backdrop for your wedding day. With sweeping staircase and magnificent function rooms, there’s plenty of photo opportunities and places for your guests to explore whilst enjoying their drinks and canapés.
SPACE TO SUIT YOU
Your wedding day may be as intimate or extensive as you wish. With recently
refurbished event rooms, the Grand Hotel Tynemouth can accommodate up to 200 guests. Alternatively, you can host an intimate gathering, followed by arrival drinks and photographs on the beach.

Renovations have just been completed in each of the function suites at The Grand Hotel, and the results are simply stunning. The Pearl Room
is ideal for wedding ceremonies and intimate weddings; the Orchid Suite, with its tall ceiling and breathtaking view, is ideal for your wedding breakfast and evening reception; and finally, the Chambers Suite is perfect for the cosy hideaway and disco evening reception.
OUTDOOR ROOF TERRACE
New to our venue is our recently refurbished outdoor roof terrace for your drinks reception in the sun! Take in the sea view by our outdoor fire pits with your guests.

The most satisfying part of my role is hearing couples saying 'I Do' after spending up to two years corresponding with them. We felt so supported throughout the booking process, Demi and Helen, our contacts, were just wonderful. I think we were pretty relaxed through the planning. We weren’t too caught up on small details as we literally just wanted to turn up! But all of the staff must’ve been working so hard in the background with our suppliers because the way everything came together on the day was beyond our imaginations. A huge thank you to all at the hotel for making our day truly unforgettable 🤍From initial contact, to the day itself, it’s hard to find anything at fault with The Grand and its staff. Down to final Touches in the day and night. It was our 30th wedding Anniversary renewal. The attention was excellent Over and above and always going that extra mile. Picked all our guests rooms for the stay , all with breath taking seaviews ,breakfast next morning was simply the best piping hot from the kitchen. Rooms very up to date and model with excellent seaviews ,walk in showers and lovely sitting area to watch that amazing seaviews. Staff always willing to help. The staff that worked our wedding were all lovely and made everything run so smoothly they are truly the best team. I thought I would stress the full day about things, but the team were so great I did not stress at all! I can see why so many people want to get married at the venue as it is stunning from the views to the rooms. This didn’t stop the venue and suppliers getting there to decorate and make our day special. We even managed to get to the beach for photos! Staff were amazing, attentive and perfectionists. The team were always checking up on us from start to finish, before and after. We had so many different elements in our day from Chinese tea ceremony to Chinese lion dance parade. Nothing was too much hassle. They worked around us and even our buffet menu was created around what we wanted which was great. A mixture of English/Chinese. Our guests loved it, some even went back for 3rd plates!! Truly beautiful venue on the doorstep of the beautiful Longsands beach that holds sooo many memories for us as a couple. A beautiful venue with the perfect staircase for beautiful photos. The grand hotel do everything they can to make sure the event runs smoothly, they couldnt do enough for us. The day went perfectly and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The food was beautiful and the setting out of this world. The rooms are gorgeous. They are lovely to talk to and very professional. They cater to your needs and personal wants, they invite me and my fiancée to wedding fairs that they hold each season and they gave us a list of suppliers as well as being very open with answering any questions we have.
