However The amazing Lauren is what sold it to us for our wedding celebration in September. From start to finish Lauren made us relax and feel like family and nothing was too much trouble. This reception was booked in August 2017 and throughout all the planning we were exceptionally well looked after by their Wedding Planner, Lauren Cooke. She is an amazing young lady who knew her job so well. The day arrived and the hotel was spectacular, we could not have asked for more. Lauren had organised everything to the last detail and we could not fault anything, including the wonderful flower arrangements created for the day by Fiesta Red of St Marychurch Torquay. The wedding breakfast was superb, service was excellent, and the evening buffet and bacon baps at midnight were more than we could all eat. The rooms for our wedding guests were of excellent standard and so was the breakfast the next morning. We cannot praise Lauren and her team highly enough for giving us all a day to remember. To quote " Richardson Hotels - Where Memories are Made", how true this was on the 1st December. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, thank you for everything you have done for us! Lauren is a star she was there for us through all our planning for literally anything and she made the day amazing she helped me hold it together in occasions I really needed to! Would recommend a wedding at the Grand Hotel to everybody! Lauren made our dream a reality. Her attention to detail was outstanding and even now almost 1 year later its the most amazing memory in our lives. We met on the saddest day of our lives when my husband decided to set the date, unbeknown to us the date became available the day my Mum passed, Lauren was both sympathetic but also able to make us smile and look forward to an event which we hadn't envisaged. Lauren admitted after our wedding that she felt more pressure than normal to get this perfect - Lauren I am truly sorry Mum made her presence felt so strongly!! Amazing team cannot thank them enough for a great wedding day! Lauren is a star she was there for us through all our planning for literally anything and she made the day amazing she helped me hold it together in occasions I really needed to! - MMr & Mrs Canoe21/09/2018Fond MemoriesFond MemoriesI had booked for four nights for our WeddingAnniversary in September but fell and fractured my shoulder. The Hotel kindly let me postpone my break until December. The Grand was beautifully decorated for the festive season. Once again the staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The food was delicious both at breakfast and the restaurant in the evening. The sea view room very nice. We took advantage of the bus outside the hotel to visit Brixham. The atmosphere was marvellous and thoroughly enjoyed by us both. Hope to be back next year for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. A First Class Hotel. I had booked for four nights for our WeddingAnniversary in September but fell and fractured my shoulder. The Hotel kindly let me postpone my break until December.
