Description

The venue is a hidden gem nestled deep in the South Hams countryside near Totnes in South Devon. The estate is luxurious, relaxed and informal where couples and guests are encouraged to make the 35 acres their home for the duration of their stay. It can sleep up to 100 guests on site in luxury cottages and barns, plus they have a late music licence until 3am in their super cool vaulted club.

The Kingston Estate ticks all the boxes for couples looking for a stunning exclusive use venue that can provide first class accommodation for all their guests along with top-notch service for food and drink. The estate is Georgian, with the mansion house having been built in 1735. It boasts high ceilings, marble fireplaces, original wall paintings and a vaulted basement where you can party until the early hours. The grounds include two stunning south-facing walled gardens; one perfect for your wedding ceremony and one for eating alfresco-style. On the estate there is also a huge party yurt, a cool street food shed, a rustic ceremony barn with eight chic chandeliers, a courtyard cocktail bar for a festival feel vibe along with an Italian Walled Garden for drinks or eating alfresco style up to 250 guests. They also have the Hayloft Barn big enough for 200 guests with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the gardens and surrounding countryside.

The accommodation on site has been thoughtfully renovated with tasteful interiors, original features, and a meticulous attention to detail. The main house, cottages and barns sleep up to 100 guests in total, making it a comfortable retreat in which to reside, whilst enjoying every moment of the big event. The team can also provide a bell tent or yurt village for additional guests on site. There are also hot tubs scattered here and there and plenty of parking available on site.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

We like all weddings to be completely bespoke to each couple, so in all honesty it's hard to pick a favourite wedding, but there are definitely a few each year that stand out. For example L&H had a beautiful wedding weekend in September 2019, and worked hard to ensure that H's Iranian heritage was included in all aspects of the wedding, sadly it rained all weekend but that didn't stop them all from embracing the weather, they even braved the rain for a ceremonial Iranian sword dance in the courtyard!
