Stunning Brand New Oak Barn surrounded by 6 acres of beautiful grounds on the North Devon / Cornwall Border.
Glebe Barn Weddings is run as a family run business where we get to know our couples on a personal basis and include a lot of personal touches to really help your wedding stand out.
Capacity -
- 30 - 150 Day guests for a 3 course sit down meal.
- 200+ Evening guests.
- 200+ Guests for a more relaxed wedding (BBQ, Hog Roast or Street Food).
- 7 Cottages On Site Sleeping 36 Guests. (Guests are charged directly for their stay at reasonable prices).
Planning your wedding couldn't be easier:
- Experienced staff included in all our packages.
- Dedicated Wedding Co-Ordinator.
- Glebe Barn App including an event timeline, interactive table planner & online guest list.
- We'll create a website for your guests to RSVP and add their meal choices.
- Unlimited Visits, Emails and Phone Calls.
- Connections with fantastic local wedding suppliers (florists, stylists, photographers etc).
Delicious Food & Drink on site:
- Head chef Chris Chatfield with years of experience working in Michelin star restaurants as well as large wedding venues.
- All your food will be made from scratch.
- We offer a bespoke menu where you can have a chat with Chris and design your own personalised menu.
- 3 Course Sit Down options with waiter service.
- All meat is from Philip Warren - A multi award winning butcher very local to us.
- Street Food Options - Great spectacle where we prepare your food in front of your guests.
- Home-made Pizzas, Grazing table, or Hog Roast for Evening Food.
- All food and drink options are included in our packages, making it simple to keep the wedding to your budget.
- We want all your guests to feel welcome and cater for all dietary requirements.

From the very beginning to the walk round with our dog Ted in tow, we felt at home. Nearly three weeks later and we are still all talking about it. Jay and his staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was where they were meant to be at certain times, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing.Glebe House was the only venue we looked round, and subsequently booked two years in advance. From the very beginning to the walk round with our dog Ted in tow, we felt at home. Nearly three weeks later and we are still all talking about it. Jay and his staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was where they were meant to be at certain times, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

If you're considering this venue, you have to go and see it for yourself as the feeling you get when walking around is quite something else, there's something in the atmosphere where you just know something quite special is going to happen here. My friends and family were constantly commenting on how amazing our wedding was, especially the beautiful formal gardens and the whole setting surrounded by beautiful countryside.I and my new WIFE had the best EVER! If you're considering this venue, you have to go and see it for yourself as the feeling you get when walking around is quite something else, there's something in the atmosphere where you just know something quite special is going to happen here. My friends and family were constantly commenting on how amazing our wedding was, especially the beautiful formal gardens and the whole setting surrounded by beautiful countryside.

It is a stunning venue for a wedding..from the beautiful gardens to the lovely cottages situated around a pretty courtyard. We had Glebe House for the whole weekend and the cottages came into their own with everyone congregating in the courtyard and getting to know each other prior to the wedding. We are so pleased that our son and daughter-in-law decided on Glebe House. We had our son and new daughter- in- law’s wedding here at the beginning of June…. and everything was perfect! It is a stunning venue for a wedding..from the beautiful gardens to the lovely cottages situated around a pretty courtyard. We stayed with our wedding party for a long weekend, Jay couldn’t do enough for us.. he made pizzas for all of our guests the night before the wedding where we sat in the court yard surrounded by the lovely cottages and had a few drinks.. allowing all of our guests to meet before the big day! They are a lovely family and nothing was too much trouble, communication was easy and we were able to plan our perfect wedding. It was lovely being able to have some guests stay at the venue over the weekend. Endless opportunities and suggestions of what we could do, and allowed us free rein to choose suppliers. A great weekend and will forever remember dancing under the stars when the rain stopped! A beautiful venue and lovely hosts. Highly recommend. Wow, that's difficult as there are so many! Looking across the main formal garden over the ornamental pond with the rectory as the backdrop. Walking into the woodlands. A family shot with the stunning countryside views in the background. Or maybe at night-time with all the hanging lights which shows off your beautiful white dress!

What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our gardens, many of our guests love walking through the many sections and exploring the flowers and pretty gardens available.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
I love showing couples around our beautiful grounds and gardens. It has taken years of planning to get this far and we are so excited to now discuss how all the different features and facilities here can be used to help create the wedding that couples dream of.
