Glebe House

What an absolutely stunning wedding venue we could not have wanted any more for our wedding day. Brilliant customer service! Couldn’t recommend Jay and his team enough.

Jay and his family hosted our wedding last weekend at Glebe. They are a lovely family and nothing was too much trouble, communication was easy and we were able to plan our perfect wedding. It was lovely being able to have some guests stay at the venue over the weekend. Endless opportunities and suggestions of what we could do, and allowed us free rein to choose suppliers. A great weekend and will forever remember dancing under the stars when the rain stopped! A beautiful venue and lovely hosts. Highly recommend.

My bride and I loved the aesthetic of the venue. Upon first visit all the way up to the morning after our wedding day was infinitely made better, easier, and more rewarding thanks to our hosts. Jay and Sarah quelled any worries confusion we had leading up and their service on the day was flawless and seemingly effortless in causing our day to run smoothly. If you are looking for a beautiful venue, outstanding service, and someone who will show attention and care to your wedding as though it is their own then I can't recommend these guys enough. We wanted our day to be relaxed and as personal as possible and it’s exactly what we got. Jay and Sarah are excellent at what they do, so welcoming and responsive, no ask felt like it was too much. We loved every moment of our time with Glebe House.

Such a lovely site, with incredibly friendly, accommodating, genuine owners. The owners can't do enough for you, are incredibly knowledgeable and treat you as friends. The cottages are superb, with wonderful little touches, and comfortable furnishings. The facilities on-site are fantastic - you can really see how party sizes big or small would be well catered for here.

We stayed at Glebe House Cottages for the purpose of my brother's wedding on 26/6/21. From what I understood this was the first time that The Brewer family had undertaken a wedding- impossible to fathom given how glorious the house and the grounds are. Having had chance to see the location prior to wedding it cannot be overstated just how pleasant, well kept and peaceful the grounds of the house are. Whilst not the largest everything is just so, from the manicured lawns to the sensory garden. If you can think of a more idyllic location you've a better imagination than I. The wedding itself was catered to perfectly- the ceremony was held in the main garden of the house and marquees provided due to the potential for inclement weather. Whilst photographs were taken folk had the chance to enjoy canapés and drinks in the perfectly laid out marquees in the wooded area of the house near the tennis courts. Bar included and incredibly well stocked with all sorts of goodies. The food served was both delicious and plentiful, especially the high tea served on the lawn around the pond. Undoubtedly the pleasant afternoon was a big plus however again the setting really set off the spectacle of the afternoon. Everything made for a convivial and enjoyable afternoon. Even the florist who set up the necessary commented that it was one of the best venues they'd worked at. The relaxed feeling carried on into the evening with that well stocked bar coming into its own. As dusk fell the ambience built- the gentle lights of the woods and marquees setting off perfectly the feeling of happiness and joy. The food kept coming, the drink kept flowing all whilst first rate service was offered by all concerned. Hands down this is one of the best weddings I've ever been to and would advise Sarah and Jay to continue in similar vein. You provided the perfect setting for the perfect day. I've only just realised I haven't mentioned the accommodation- stopping in Granary the cottage was more than big enough for my wife and I along with two of our children and our granddaughter. As well as comfortable the cottages are extremely well equipped, even down to full twin ovens and dishwasher. The welcome pack also contained some tasty edibles which soon vanished. As mentioned elsewhere there's a great deal to do at Glebe House. Heated pool, tennis court, adventure playground, woodland walk- it's impressive what is packed into the grounds. Again use of the facilities is in the same relaxed manner, lending itself to the overall enjoyment of the experience. If you're looking for a break away or indeed a function such as a wedding to arrange- check this place out. You'll not regret it.

A lovely set of cottages with great surrounding views. We were here for the weekend for a Stag do and were well looked after with fresh BBQ and Pizza provided in the evenings as a pre-booked service. I can see that this would be a popular wedding reception venue or family holiday destination with guests having their own comfortable, well equipped cottages to retire to.

We had an excellent stay here! Truly beautiful place, tennis courts & swimming pool which children loved! They hosted a quiz night with fish & chips on Friday, then bbq and drinks on the Saturday. Jay & Sarah were incredibly helpful - a real family run business. Would recommend for families and larger group get aways. In my opinion, the photos on the website don’t do them justice, which was a bonus when we got there. Will definitely be returning.

Stayed at Glebe House Cottages in March 2022 for a 50th Birthday celebration. On arrival we were presented with a bottle of prosecco which was a really lovely touch. Complimentary Jams in the cottages along with teas, coffee’s were a lovely touch too. The cottages were really well equipped, every thing we needed and more. We took our two dogs and felt that we were really welcome at Glebe House with them. This is really important to me as they are my world. We used the games room and the tennis courts which were great. Jay and Sarah are lovely people and are clearly very proud of what they have achieved at Glebe House. Really grateful that we were able to get together with family in a really lovely setting. We are hoping to make it our annual trip. Thank you for a lovely stay. x

Glebe house cottages was and is an absolute dream. After 2 years of failed wedding attempts due to covid and awful suppliers, we stumbled upon Glebe house Cottages,and we are just so glad we did. Not only was our day perfect, our weekend perfect, but the build up, wine tasting, beer festival and everything about the way we corresponded with the venue was. I absolutely reccomend, they and the venue truly made our wedding perfect and we will absolutely be back to celebrate for years to come. Jay, Sarah and their parents run an amazing business, they really look after you and Glebe House is great, book your wedding there it won't disappoint.
