Our magical day

We had an amazing time at Hawke Barn venue for our wedding. The rustic setting was perfect, and everything went smoothly. The staff was friendly and made sure all the details were handled. It was exactly the laid-back, cozy atmosphere we were looking for. Highly recommend for a relaxed and beautiful wedding day!

Perfect wedding venue

Our wedding at Hawke Barn was everything we hoped for and more! The location is fantastic and the views from the lawn are stunning, especially as this is where we had loads of our golden hour photos taken. The Hawke Barn team made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The whole day ran so smoothly, and we received so many lovely comments about the venue from our guests. We had such an amazing wedding day and we couldn’t recommend Hawke Barn more highly! Love, Becca and James

What a wonderful location Hawke Barn is - sheltered yet with fabulous views. The barn itself has all the facilities you would expect, and is bright and welcoming. Having all the horses around was a real bonus too, and gave ample photo opportunities! It was especially nice for the bride and groom and several family members to be able to stay in the deluxe cottages onsite. Everyone involved were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. It is best to enter Hawke Barn /Thorne Farm, Tiverton into google maps, (rather than our postcode) Always use the Bellbrook /Spurway turn off from the A361 as this is the biggest lane and most direct. Do watch out for horses and wildlife on the lane.

Where’s the best photo spot at Hawke Barn ?

We have too many too mention so it depends on your taste. From stunning rolling hills as the backdrop in our wild flower meadows, to woodlands, pond scenes & archway shots. That's before you head onto the farm yard and take advantage of the hay barn, farming machinery or some pretty photogenic animals too.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Hawke Barn ?

I'm not sure you'd say he's a celebrity, but Katherine's husband Nigel Hawke is a Grand National Winning Jockey & Successful Racehorse Trainer.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Its too hard to choose, but each of our local suppliers do a delicious selection, using local and seasonal produce

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Katherine's (our owner) current favourite midnight treat is to make toasted marsh mellows around the firepit to make S'mores.

What is Hawke Barn most unique feature?

We have a few, I would have to go with the stunning scenery & privacy. Although as a guest you may enjoy that we don't charge corkage and can go unplugged at midnight and carry on the party all night if you wish!

What part of your business are you most proud of?

We are incredibly proud of the venue we have created. Beautiful enough on it's own, it is also the perfect blank canvas to create your dream wedding. The space we have created in exclusively yours for the duration. We feel passionately about our guests tailor making their weddings exactly as they want with no restrictions from us.
