A magical venue for your special day, the Globe at Hay is fully licensed to host your entire day, from wedding ceremony to evening reception.
Set in the enchanting site of a former chapel – which dates back to 1752 – is a wonderfully diverse and flexible space for your day to unfold. Home to a host of art exhibitions, live music, and the Globe’s How The Light Gets In festival, the venue is split into three separate spaces perfect for any style or size of celebration!
The ceremony hall is comprised of the main space within the Globe. Boasting an inspiring double height ceiling and original pulpit, it is a beautifully intimate space with the ability to seat up to 60 guests to see you say ‘I do’ to that special someone!
Whether you’re looking for a smaller reception, or something more extravagant, the Globe has the ideal space for you. The Main Hall boasts ample room for formal or informal dining, and a spacious dancefloor! The Upper Gallery – which overlooks the Main Hall – is perfect for something a little more understated. Meanwhile, the Lower Gallery is ideal for any couples looking for an intimate setting.
The excellent in-house chefs at the Globe will be able to prepare a delicious menu of food for your wedding breakfast. From barbecues to banquets, whatever your budget, you’re sure for a mouth-watering spread of food!

From initial discussions to service on the day I cannot fault the team nor the food. So many of our guests commented on the quality and portions of all three courses and the evening buffet. We settled on The Globe after visiting and falling in love with its quaint and quirky charms. The versatile space offered exactly what we needed and allowed us to customise and make it truly unique to us. Layla, Bill and team were so lovely to deal with, laid back but with all the answers, a reassuring combination in the midst of wedding planning! We also enjoyed some very good canapés and fizz to see in wedded life, thanks to Billy in the kitchen. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better ceremony, perfectly accommodated by The Globe, thank you!When planning our intimate wedding in Hay on Wye we considered a couple of different venues within the town. The Globe helped create our vision for our wedding which was all we imagined and gave us all the support we needed. The Globe itself is a wonderfully flexible venue which provides amazing (seriously amazing) food, beautiful surroundings, a great dance/gig space and a really special and beautiful ceremony space. Hay itself is obviously blooming brilliant and our guests loved a chance to explore it! We stayed in the Globe's cottage next door which was cosy and super convenient. Perfect for wedding prep and storage. Also great that you don't have far to go at the end of the night!
