There are few wedding venues in Edinburgh promising such a range of choice. Step through the 174-year-old Georgian archway at the entrance to the hotel, once home to the Lady Glenorchy Church, and instantly pass into a bright and contemporary space. Combined with the rooftop garden, and different rooms and pergolas to undertake your vows, and you have one of the most unique and flexible wedding venues in the city. As a fully licenced venue, we can host your wedding ceremony, not just the party. We are able to offer a variety of options for your wedding ceremony in Edinburgh. Our roof garden is a popular choice. Guests can gather on our green lawn and watch you exchange vows under our flower-decked pergola, or you can tie the knot in more intimate settings on a terrace overlooking the garden. Our stylish indoor spaces are also available, including the Calton Suite, The Brasserie and The Boardroom, which is popular for intimate weddings, housed behind the original church window out of which The Glasshouse Hotel was created. Ceremonies are available as part of a full wedding package, or as a standalone service. Once the formal part of your day is completed with the making of your vows, celebrate the start of married life at The Glasshouse with a luxury wedding reception. We can work with you to ensure that every detail, from decora, menus and entertainment are delivered to your exacting standards.

We had an amazing wedding at The Glasshouse Calton Suite. Our Wedding Coordinator, Megan, was absolutely brilliant. She communicated with us at every level throughout our wedding planning, responded to all our queries, and really played a big role in making our wedding day go smoothly and perfectly. Also, the dining team did an excellent job. They were all very professional, kind, and helpful. From the moment we visited the hotel, we knew that it was our venue! The packages in the brochure were good, but we wanted to create our very own special day, Natalie created a package for specially for us and included everything we wanted. The day went too quick, it seems like such a blur! The Glasshouse is a beautiful venue, the staff are fantastic. Staff on the day were great, they could not do enough to help our guests while we were getting photos taken (which took a bit longer due to the rain!) Apart from the weather, our day was great, the carlton suite has beautiful views and the meal was lovely. It was exactly what we wanted, simple, elegant and stress free. Our ceremony was in the Henderson Gallery, followed by a small get together in the Observatory, the food was wonderful and we particularly enjoyed the champagne. Our wedding at the Glasshouse was perfect from start to finish! the weather was great, amazing food and we could not have asked for more! Natalie had been in contact with my parents to arrange a few surprises throughout the day - My dad being the biggest one! He was not going to be able to make our wedding due to working overseas but was just there on the day (very teary moment) Natalie was a dream to deal with, nothing was too much trouble for her. Everything was seamless on the day, my only complaint was that the day went too quickly! Andrew and I chose the glasshouse for our wedding venue, we loved the church front but the garden was the biggest deal breaker for us! Living in Scotland you can never pick the weather, we had a rainy start to the day, but managed to have our ceremony outside and the sun came out just as we were walking back down the aisle! The food was delicious, the evening band were great (think her name was Amy) so happy we booked the glasshouse. The staff were so helpful leading up to our big day and on the day!
