Description

This venue brings sights of the South Downs National Park like no other lush green grass engulfing a lake and flours vibrant with every colour. Rustic with huge oak pillars; but magical with thousands of fairy lights like fireflies. Outside the stars take their place and you walk around feeling a warm glow from fire pillars and earthy smell of hay. But what really sets us apart are the people who run it, we take care of every stress, work with you to ensure you have everything you dream of and also show you things you may have never known existed. The place is beautiful, stunning and picturesque we know you will fall in love with it and away from distractions of life you will declare your love for each other.

The most beautiful venue with the most amazing team ✨The most beautiful venue with the most amazing team ✨
We honestly can’t recommend Southlands Barn enough! We had other venues lined up to view, but as soon as we walked into Southlands (our very first viewing!) we instantly fell in love with the stunning countryside setting, the cows in the fields, the beautiful peacocks wandering around, and most of all, the warmth and energy of the team. We cancelled all our other viewings that same day because we just knew this was the one. From start to finish, the whole experience was incredible. The team at Southlands are absolute stars, so helpful, organised, and genuinely lovely to work with. The wine tasting night was such a brilliant touch as it gave us a real feel for what a wedding there would be like. Being able to bring four guests along made it such a fun and memorable evening and helped us pick our wedding wines in style. One of the biggest highlights for us was having the venue from Friday to Sunday. It meant we could take our time with setup, do all our own DIY styling, and save on the cost of decorators or stylists. It also gave us the chance to host tea and cake on the Sunday for a relaxed take-down day with family and friends, which was such a lovely way to round off the weekend. Southlands are also incredibly flexible when it comes to suppliers, which made a huge difference. We weren’t tied to specific caterers or limited in our choices for photographers, florists, or other suppliers, so we were able to make the day completely personal to us. Every detail reflected us, and that’s something we’ll always be grateful for. The free shuttle service for guests staying locally is such an amazing extra touch and another example of how thoughtful and guest-focused the team are. Our day was absolutely perfect from start to finish, and we had so many compliments from guests on how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the team were on the day. From the very start the team at Southlands go above and beyond! Liv and Jackie sat with us both on set up day and went through every last detail so that our wedding day ran smoothly! What a beautiful location the Southlands Barn sits in, with great views of the Sussex countryside. The old Barn itself holds a rustic charm, making it an idyllic country wedding setting, exactly what we wanted. A HUGE thank you from my family and I for making our son Jacob and our now daughter-in-law Amelia's wedding, 6th April 2024 such a truly very special day❤️ From the outset, you cared for us. The wine package was excellent value for money. Guest said how good the wine is🍷What a beautiful location the Southlands Barn sits in, with great views of the Sussex countryside. Words cannot even begin to describe how perfect this venue is. Staff are so friendly and will go above and beyond to make the day perfect. Beautiful venue and views. The bridal room to get ready in with all the girls really made the whole day even more special. If you are thinking of booking this venue for your wedding then we would 100% recommend you saying yes, it was honestly the best day (even though the weather didn't behave!) Southlands Barn was the venue for the wedding of our daughter Emma to James on 4 May. It could not have been better. Thanks to Jackie and all the team for their help in the build up to the event and making the day itself so memorable. They could not have done more or been more friendly. The venue is superb: a great setting for the ceremony, the meal, the dancing in the evening and the relaxing and chatting in between. Once again, thanks. Stunning Venue!Stunning Venue!
I photographed a wedding at Southlands Barn a few weeks ago and I just adored it! Stunning venue set in beautiful countryside with gorgeous, rustic barn vibes. The staff were incredible. So attentive, friendly, warm and helpful for the whole day. There are so many beautiful spots for couple portraits and group shots. And I've just booked another wedding here for 2025! Perfect Day!Perfect Day!
We had the most perfect day! Everything from the day we booked our wedding to the day after our wedding was just so easy, nothing was ever too much. The venue had changed every time we went there which was incredible to see, it’s so nice to see money being invested back in to the venue making it better and better every time. Jacky is the most loveliest person we have ever met! Phil & Jamie are so knowledgeabl and were an incredible help. Every member of staff that works at the barWe had the most perfect day! Everything from the day we booked our wedding to the day after our wedding was just so easy, nothing was ever too much. The venue had changed every time we went there which was incredible to see, it’s so nice to see money being invested back in to the venue making it better and better every time. My husband and I got married here a few weeks ago and we can't thank Southlands Barn team enough. The venue is set in such a beautiful place, the addition of the highland cows is a great photo opportunity. Having a day to set up the venue before meant that everything was ready and very relaxed. The team are wonderful and they go above and beyond to ensure that your day runs seamlessly. Nothing is too much to ask. We very much enjoyed the homely feel. Thank you for making our day perfect. The absolute best venue!. The views are stunning, the team are extraordinary, and the venue itself is just gorgeous. And the fact that the venue is a blank slate made everything so much better. We were able to have our black wedding without having to hide anything that didn’t fit our vibe. Phil, Jaime, Jackie, Liv, Amy, and all the team went above and beyond to make our day amazing and make sure everything was perfect! From the moment we booked the venue 3 years ago, to the lead up to the day, they have been nothing but unbelievable helpful and kind. Phil and Jackie were there the whole time, making sure everything ran seamlessly all day. And Iona and Jura, the adorable Highland Cows, topped everything off, making Southlands Barn a fantastic wedding venue!The absolute best venue!. So our daughter announced she was getting married in a month, as Southlands Barn had a cancellation! The boys at Southlands (Jamie & Phil) could not have been more helpful, their experience & professionalism from start to finish and sheer pride in their barn was second to none! With a beautiful setting, in stunning surroundings, what more could we ask for! A truly magical day we will never forget!! Thank you Southlands!!
