At the heart of our working farm lies our magnificent oak-framed Sussex barn. Built in 1720, the Old Barn has been lovingly restored to an extraordinarily high standard to offer you a premium wedding venue that is exclusively yours for the day. We work extremely hard to make sure that your day exceeds all expectations. Pangdean is a place that you and your family and friends will be warmly welcomed and charmed by the rural and historic setting plus enjoying legendary delicious food created from scratch in our own kitchens. We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies in the Barn, Stable and throughout the blooming gardens including Mulberry Lodge, specially built for the purpose.

Our pricing varies depending on the day of the week and the season you wish to marry. For instance a Saturday in June will be £6000 + VAT, whilst a Wednesday in November will be £2000 + VAT. This price includes everything you need for your dream country wedding with no hidden extras. Just add some flowers, personal bits like place names, table plan and favors and of course yourselves, family and friends. Enjoy the whole experience and let us do the rest!

All the guests commented on how amazing the venue was, including the delicious food and attentive staff. We were blown away by their attention to detail and smooth running of the day, as well as how gorgeous our winter wedding looked. They offered great advice but also let us be free to customise our wedding how we wanted to. The staff, venue and food were absolutely fantastic. At every stage through the process, from the planning to the actual day, the staff were extremely professional and thought of everything. Nothing was too much trouble and they were calm and professional throughout. Due to the weather, our ceremony took place inside the barn and this made for a magical and intimate experience. Throughout the day and for weeks after our guests kept saying how amazing the food was and how brilliant the staff were. We cannot speak highly enough of the team and venue and in our view it is hard to beat. Pangdean Old Barn is truly a wonderful place to get married. The staff are absolutely incredible and think of everything to make sure the day is seamless. Our permanent residence is in the US, this was no issue and the team was so responsive via email and zoom. The venue itself is beautiful and has something for everyone, a quieter area with lovely couches, plenty of toys to entertain little ones, a gorgeous baby changing space, and plenty of bathrooms. The gardens are gorgeous! The food was amazing! 10/10 I can not recommend this incredible venue enough, and would work with them again tomorrow!I can not recommend Pangdean enough. The staff are absolutely incredible and think of everything to make sure the day is seamless. The food was absolutely incredible, delicious and perfectly timed throughout. The day ran without a single hitch, and the barn itself made the most magical and beautiful setting for the evening celebrations. We couldn’t have asked for more. Moving on from the beautiful barn are the sublime staff who make even more magic happen! Nicky’s team are just a dream to work with, nothing is too much trouble and the food and service are out of this world. Every guest of ours has commented on how friendly all the staff were, how great the service was and what fantastic food they ate! We also loved that you were able to use much of their stuff i.e. card box, candles, vases etc preventing single use items. It really was a 5 star experience...actually if we could give it 1000 twinkly stars we would for the best day ever and we honestly can't thank them enough for this! We used the barn for our ceremony, wedding breakfast and dance party after and it looked beautiful for each occasion. The staff were flawless from start to finish. There was nothing that was too much trouble and they put us at ease throughout the entire process. All of our guests complimented how friendly and wonderful the staff were throughout the whole day. The food was delicious from the tasty canapés, to the yummy main meal and dessert to the best pizza we have ever had! We had the most incredible day of our lives and would give anything to do it again! Trust us when we say…visit and book! You won’t regret it! I cannot recommend this venue enough. Remember that it is meant to be fun. Relax and let us help you. We have a brilliant team of staff who will make sure your day is spectacular, fun and romantic.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
It's always very touching when people find a way to include loved ones who can't be there - perhaps by including photos of them, or mentioning them in speeches. And there are also lots of fun touches that couples add - from having a signature cocktail, to using photos of each guest as a place name.

Friendly and fun, gorgeous, delicious, professional, experienced (sorry that might be 6!)
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We have so many wonderful photo spots - from the magical barn with its hundreds of twinkling fairy lights, to our stunning landscaped gardens with our 400 year old Mulberry Tree, full of blooms, flint walls and traditional agricultural buildings to the farm at sunset with views of the South Downs.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Many. But we don't kiss and tell!
What’s your favourite canapé?
Oooh there are many, but probably the maple cured Pangdean smoked salmon taco served with red pearl and cucumber salsa, and chipotle creme fraiche
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
We offer delicious and reasonable late night snacks all made by our talented chefs. 2023 was definitely the year of the pizza with 2024 proving popular for our new, fresh from the oven Focaccia, stuffed with: Parma ham, Taleggio cheese, slow roast tomatoes and basil, Roasted med vegetables and dolcelatte, Borlotti bean puree, gordal olives and ricotta with marjoram, chicken, pesto and sunblushed tomatoes or salami, babaganoush, crispy onions and red pepper salsa - it's as good as it sounds!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our spectacular barn roof - it soars overhead and is filled with hundreds of twinkling fairy lights and candles. A flexible, convenient yet rural and exclusive location in the heart of the South downs.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
That it is family owned and run. We offer an incredible attention to detail and every wedding is attended to with love by our team.
