Set within 12 acres of landscaped gardens, it offers 56 luxurious bedrooms, five lavish bridal suites, and elegant banqueting rooms that can accommodate 30 to 450 guests. Orsett Hall is home to a boutique spa, and an exquisite Garden Brasserie, as well as the relaxing Café Sartoria. With its exceptional facilities and dedicated staff, Orsett Hall is the perfect Essex wedding venue, providing everything you need for your special day. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering for 30 or a grand celebration for 450, your wedding at Orsett Hall will be truly unforgettable. You and your guests will enjoy the tranquillity of our extensive landscaped gardens, offering a picturesque setting for beautiful wedding photos. Orsett Hall features four reception rooms, each ideal for weddings of any size and with their own stunning surroundings. All of our function suites are licensed for civil ceremonies, and we also offer an exclusive wedding chapel and the option for outdoor ceremonies in our charming gazebo.
Important Notice Regarding 2026 Wedding Availability at Orsett Hall
Orsett Hall will begin a programme of development and refurbishment works in mid-July 2026. As these works will significantly affect the hotel’s facilities, availability, and overall guest experience, we will be unable to maintain the standards required to deliver a wedding celebration during this period.
For this reason, we are unable to offer wedding bookings beyond 10 July 2026.
If you are considering holding your wedding on or before 10 July 2026, we would be delighted to discuss your plans and explore the options available to you. Our team is here to support you in creating a memorable and seamless celebration ahead of the refurbishment schedule.

The organisation was fantastic (thanks to Georgia and Paula). Nothing was too much trouble and they made sure the whole day was stress-free. I cannot praise high enough the quality of the food for our wedding meal. We were nervous about whether it would be as good as the tasting dinner and it was every bit as good (we had the lamb) - all our guests raved about how wonderful it was. It was delicious, plentiful and HOT - which has to be a feat for 100+ guests ! The only fly in the ointment was that the bridal suite was not cleaned/refreshed so we unfortunately went back to a messy room (after the bridesmaids all got ready in there). Initially they did apologise to us but then changed their mind and said they'd warned us it would not be 'post covid' etc etc. Very unhappy ending after a (up until then) near perfect experience. You and the team were terrific in getting the prep work done but more importantly a calming influence on the day, dealing with any last minute hiccups such as the British weather or even sorting out the bar set ups. One of our Wedding Planners held their Wedding at the Orsett Hall. It was a beautiful sunny day so the photographs looked stunning in the gardens. It was a fair ground theme and they hired different themed games for guests to enjoy throughout the day. It was a really relaxed and fun!!
