And with a stylish ‘Groom’s Room’ set to debut in late 2024, there really is space for everyone!

Food was brilliant, the layout of the venue was perfect for our sunny autumnal day, and the house is stunning (we thought this every time we visited no matter what the time of year!). Baddow really is the perfect combination of traditional meets modern luxury, whilst keeping a homely and really welcoming feel. We really loved making use of the Cabin & Salon too for the night before / getting ready, and was brilliant we were able to have our dog Max part of our special day as a dog friendly venue. The newly built Cabin was a particular highlight - our groomsmen had the best time getting ready there. The Salon was also the perfect space for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the morning together. The catering was exceptional, with diverse options to suit every taste. They were happy to accommodate and tweak dishes to match our preferences, and the food turned out absolutely amazing. We were lucky enough to be guided by Gaynor and Kelly, who are simply the dream team. From day one, they made us feel completely at home — like part of the family (even if Kelly is a Chelsea fan!). They took the time to understand us and our vision, and they absolutely nailed it. We wanted a “party wedding,” and they delivered that and more. Angela, Lara, and the entire bar team were phenomenal. Friendly, fast, and always smiling, they made sure everyone was looked after. Even in the lead-up, they went above and beyond — checking in on specific drink requests for our guests, and ensuring the brand of beers were suitable to the fussy blokes! The catering was another highlight. From the tasting day, we knew we were in for something special. The food was exceptional — the duck was a standout, and guests raved about the beef. Honestly, it’s a shame the venue isn’t a restaurant when it’s not hosting weddings! On the day, everything ran like clockwork. Gaynor and the planning team ensured every detail was exactly as we’d asked, and the room looked breathtaking. When a bit of rain threatened, they calmly arranged a gazebo outside without any fuss, keeping guests dry while the room was turned around for the evening band. Even the morning of the wedding was perfectly orchestrated — making sure we didn’t see each other before the ceremony and that everyone was where they needed to be. Throughout the day, they made sure we had time together as newlyweds to soak it all in, which meant the world to us. We genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing. We looked at SOOO many wedding venues in the area prior to finding BPH and none of them were worth the £ they were asking, nor had anywhere near the quality that Baddow has whilst also being able to accommodate 30 people on site for 2 nights, and 120 guests. Everything from amazing Gaynor's help all through our wedding leadup, to Crown's support in catering to our guests on the day AND the night before, the finish and detail in the rooms, the on-site teams attentiveness and the absolutely beautiful gardens were more than we could ever have hoped for. Our guests were raving at what a stunning venue it was. They have EVERYTHING down to a tee - these guys are professionals!! Even things like the sound system throughout the house for music and speeches, and the bridal suite / grooms room for getting ready make all the difference. Special shoutout ofc to Gaynor, Angie, Bea + Jay for absolutely nailing it that weekend, as well as all the bar staff who brought excellent vibes through the night. I had the worst wedding blues ever for weeks after which is a testament to how incredible it all was. Thanks again !!! Your staff are brilliant, all of them had personality, all of them had a smile, all of them had the right attitude and all of them made the weekend vv easy and extremely enjoyable. "Your staff are a credit to you" is often over used as a all encompassing statement but in this instance they were a credit to themselves, the business and the hospitality industry. One standout day saw the house come alive with personal touches, relaxed two‑day celebrations, beautiful outdoor moments and a warm, joyful atmosphere that flowed effortlessly from start to finish. The combination of our private grounds, elegant spaces and dedicated team created a seamless, heartfelt celebration that felt truly bespoke, and perfectly reflected the couple’s personalities. It’s days like these that remind us why we love what we do.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Take the time to focus on what truly matters to you both. With so many options and opinions, it’s easy to get pulled in different directions — but the best weddings always reflect the couple’s personalities and priorities. Once you’re clear on what’s most important to you, every decision becomes easier and the whole planning process feels far more enjoyable.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We have seen lots of personal touches but one of the most memorable was bespoke caricatures of each of the guests to act as their name places, with the same design of the Bride & Groom on the wedding stationery and order of service.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There are so many photo opportunities inside and outside of Baddow Park House. We have a beautiful galleried landing which leads to an elegant staircase as well as numerous beautiful open fireplaces that provide picturesque back drops for portraits. Outside you can choose from, the pavillion, the manicured gardens or the gorgeous vineyards amongst others.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
The privacy of our couples and guests is of utmost importance!
What’s your favourite canapé?
All of them! Our Chef produces fabulously fresh and seasonal food that also looks amazing! (Although the Braised beef croquette with chorizo jam is up there!)
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
As the sun starts to set, head into our woodland to discover our fire-pit. Toast marshmallows and sip finest hot chocolate and liqueurs while you share old stories and create new memories under the stars.
