The Limpley Stoke Hotel provides an elegant venue near Bath. Our spacious and elegant public rooms make the Limpley Stoke Hotel an ideal venue for your wedding reception. With a choice of function rooms for up to 80 guests and our caring and attentive staff, we pride ourselves in helping to make the day a truly memorable occasion. We are licensed by the local authority to hold civil ceremonies at the hotel, thus you are now able to marry and have your reception at the same venue. We have a professional and dedicated Wedding Co-Ordinator, who is always at hand for help and advice. The luxurious Four Poster bridal suite is available complimentary to the Bride and Groom on their first night. We have excellent banqueting facilities, and a large car park – these coupled with the location overlooking the magnificent Avon valley makes the Limpley Stoke a truly ideal wedding venue.

Dream wedding dayDream wedding day
From the first moment we met Karen and she showed us the beautiful Limpley Stoke Hotel, we knew this would be our wedding venue. Karen was amazing throughout our wedding planning journey and really shared in our excitement and vision for our day. The attention to detail for our wedding was absolutely incredible and Karen and the team pulled out all the stops to make it the best day we could ever have hoped for. The resident DJ, Marc, and resident pianist, Michael, were brilliant too and catered to all of our requests. We honestly cannot thank Karen and the team at Limpley Stoke enough. 95% of our guests stayed at the hotel for at least one night and all our guests were so complimentary about it. They all loved the food from the canapés, wedding breakfast and evening buffet to the hotel breakfast the next morning, everyone was really impressed. So many guests reached out to say it was the best wedding they had been to and we think this wouldn’t be the case if we hadn’t picked Limpley Stoke. The love, joy and passion that Karen and the team put in to our wedding just rippled throughout the day. Beautiful venue in a fantastic location, with lovely scenery. Excellent and attentive staff at the hotel to support your big day. Karen the wedding coordinator was so helpful in getting everything organised and ensured all our needs were met. The food provided as part of the wedding package was high quality and suited a variety of dietary needs. We had a fabulous wedding day, the staff are professional great and at organising on the day. Karen our wedding planner, was very professional and friendly. To be honest she was an absolute blessing. I felt reassured and nothing was too much trouble. I e-mailed her a lot! The food was really good and enjoyable and we got very positive feed back from our guests. We got married in April this year (2023) and we are still happily talking about it now (November 2023). I highly recommend! *I wanted to share a photo, but it it wouldn't upload sadly.We had a fabulous wedding day, the staff are professional great and at organising on the day. If you're looking for a venue which pretty much organises the whole thing for you then this is the place to go. Karen and the team were so helpful with offering information in regards to what "usually" happens (but also allowing you to have freedom in what you would like to do for your big day) and even offering decorative items to save some expense! The venue provided ample space for all of our guests to be able to enjoy themselves and we really did have so much fun. Thank you Karen and the team for helping us to achieve such a fun day! From the beginning when we met Karen, we knew that this was our dream wedding venue. She was always there for you from emails to phone calls. If you need anything they help you with everything from the day you get married to afterwards they helped you with everything on the day make sure everything runs smoothly so you don’t have to worry. We had such a good time at Limpley Stoke. The staff looked after us so so so well, really went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, anticipating our needs and providing the best friendly and professional service. Karen was with us from booking through the planning to the big day itself, she was absolutely perfect every step of the way. We had a vegetarian wedding, the food was amazing. It was so much fun for our guests to be there from the day before and be all in the same place as we were getting ready. It was a home away from home and the best I could have possibly hoped for! I would strongly recommend this beautiful venue, I would book it again in a heartbeat. We had such a good time at Limpley Stoke. What a day! Our wedding planner, Karen was absolutely fantastic on our special day. She ran the event from start to finish with ease and honestly we couldn't have asked for more. The ceremony was beautiful, the food was just top notch and the evening do on the sun terrace with the dj playing great music in the background was a fantastic end to a wonderful day. Couldn't fault the venue at all - nothing was too much trouble and everything our planner, Karen, said would happen, happened on time and without fuss. Fully recommend this gorgeous hotel at the top of the amazingly picturesque Bath valley. Such an amazing day - thank you to all at the hotel who made our special day, special.What a day!
