Quantock Lakes

Here is our review - (it is on Facebook and the google form already just not the bride book) We had our wedding at Quantock Lakes on the 1st March 2025. We can wholeheartedly say that this was the most incredible weekend of our lives. From start to finish we were made to feel special and there wasn’t anything that was too much trouble. The whole experience from viewing the venue before booking to having our special day with you has been faultless. The staff at the Lakes are incredibly friendly and professional - they even went the extra mile in making my elderly Nan comfortable by putting the log fire on and giving her blankets in the evening so that she could stay and watch the evening go by. The food was delicious and we had so many of our guests say how much they enjoyed both our wedding breakfast and evening food. Great service along with lovely food made this part of our day very memorable. We hired the Farmhouse and several of the rooms in the wedding village both the night before and the night of our wedding. The accommodation is amazing! We had the most special time celebrating the evening before our big day with family & friends in such a wonderful house. On the Sunday morning after our wedding we had breakfast at the Kitchen across the road and AGAIN this was perfect! It was a private space for us as family and friends to de-brief the day before and spend time together before heading home. We cannot thank the staff enough for making our day and weekend perfect for us. We truly feel that what makes this venue so special and unique are the personal touches and allowing the bride & groom to make the space about them and personal to them. The team make everything feel so stress free that we could relax and enjoy the whole process. Thank you!! Tilly & Lewis.

We simply could not recommend Quantock Lakes enough, from the moment we first contacted Laura, we knew we would get married there! The whole team were so helpful, right from the start. And the venue obviously speaks for itself, it’s hard to find somewhere as stunning as Quantock lakes! The day we came and you showed us around, we knew when we left there was no point in going anywhere else! We also knew we made the right venue choice when contacting suppliers - and they where all thrilled when we told them our wedding was at Quantock Lakes! When our day finally came round, as soon as we arrived we where greeted with such kindness and excitement from everyone we saw, the venue was perfectly set up for us to add our own touches to, and the accommodation was absolutely spotless and so perfect for what we all needed! Everyone who stayed commented on how lovely the accommodation was, and one small maintenance issue in one room was solved so quickly with no fuss or worry at all! Catering wise- the food we had on our wedding day and following morning for breakfast was AMAZING! It was delicious and so much of it! The profiteroles where out of this world, so many of our guests have mentioned them! We didn’t have to worry about a single thing on our day, everything was managed so well by the team with our suppliers, which really was one of the best things to us! We could enjoy our day completely and know everything was running as it should! Thank you so much to you all for helping us have the wedding we both dreamt of! We had the most wonderful day, and full wedding experience with Quantock Lakes. From our viewing with Laura to first planning meeting with Sarah, through to our wedding day, everything was perfect. We cannot thank you all enough for making our wedding experience so so special. We would’ve been completely lost without our meetings. It was a huge help in making everything fall into place & being able to picture everything, just how we wanted it to be. The attention to detail and engagement with us throughout the whole two years of planning was amazing, especially helping us visualise the different options for the ceremony setup. Our wedding day was the most special day and that would not have been possible without the seamless help of all of the wedding team. On the day – not a thing went wrong – or if it did, we knew nothing about it! Every single thing was seamless and perfect. Thank you all for ensuring that our wedding weekend was so special, we could not have asked for any more!

After having a very stressful and long journey down Quantock Lakes on the Friday as the m5 was closed, from the moment we arrived the staff made us feel at ease and got stuck into helping with decorating to ensure everything was done and we could go and enjoy the accommodation with friends. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, all of our guests were so impressed. The wedding day was perfect, we didn’t have to do anything as Kelly sorted out all of the suppliers coming for the day so it was stress free and we could enjoy every second. Our guests are still raving about the food now with many saying it’s the best beef they’ve ever had. The breakfast on Sunday was also outstanding. We will definitely be coming down to "Kitchen" for food again soon. We are so happy that we found you on instagram, our day was amazing and we loved every second of it. We recently celebrated our wedding at Quantock Lakes, and it was everything we could have dreamed of and more! From the moment we booked, the Quantock team was absolutely incredible. They were so attentive and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just perfect. The venue and accommodation were breathtakingly beautiful, capturing the charm and elegance we were hoping for. A huge thank you to the housekeeping and catering teams, who truly made our weekend unforgettable. The rooms were spotless, and the catering was exceptional, with delicious food that all our guests raved about. We couldn’t believe how seamlessly the entire weekend ran — it was like a dream! Quantock Lakes gave us a weekend to remember, and we can’t thank the entire team enough for making it so special. If you’re looking for a wedding venue, look no further.

We have amazing memories from our special day. Front of house experience: We visited Quantock lakes for the first time in Feb 2023 and were completely blown away initially by the beautiful grounds. Laura was incredible and explained everything the venue had to offer, we felt so welcomed and felt so at home in the venue. We knew straight away it was the place for us. Everyone we’ve dealt with at the venue has been so understanding, thoughtful and considerate. We mostly dealt with Sarah on the lead up to the wedding, and had Kelly as our coordinator on the day. Both were amazing and really helped bring our day to life. Accommodation/housekeeping team: The accommodation was immaculate it was spotless and all of our guests were so complimentary of the accommodation, they couldn’t believe how lovely it was. We loved that so many of our guests could stay on site. We appreciate the house keeping team letting us in slightly earlier on Friday to put food and drink into the fridges. They all went above and beyond and everyone was so polite and friendly. Catering team: Wow the food was incredible, everyone loved it and were completely stuffed from the amount available! Our guests definitely didn’t go hungry! The canapés, wedding breakfast and evening pizzas were great. Service from all staff was fantastic. Overall we honestly had the most incredible experience at QL - we would recommend this venue to everyone, the experience created by the staff here is out of this world they can’t do enough for you. Thanks so much guys we will remember our special day forever.

We are still on the high and loving it! Hard to put into words how stunning and well looked after the venue and accommodations are! The venue is the most perfect space that has all bases covered with the old barn for the ceremony through to the incredibly bright (even on our cloudy wedding day) food room! The team were amazing. They were so thoughtful and helpful and no task was too big for them. They really added to the experience and contributed to the perfect day! We’d love to thank you and the team for all you did for us in the build up through to the day itself. We will certainly miss waking up and being at the beautiful venue!

We got married here in June 24, from the very beginning of going to view Quantock Lakes and the stunning views to every encounter we had since we could not fault. The accommodation is so luxurious and so many guests can't stop complimenting how amazing Quantock Lakes is. We were unfortunate to not have the best weather to get married outside, but this did not hinder the day at all! I never on the day felt like I had to worry about anything. I'm just writing to let you know what an amazing and magical day we had for our daughter Sheri, and her now husband Rossi.   The wedding day itself went like clockwork thanks to your teams dedication and hard work. Not one single blip! Nothing was too much to ask for. Every single member of staff deserves to know how much we appreciated how hard they work, and how special they made the bride and groom feel.  What a magical day. We will never forget it and will talk about it with huge smiles on our faces for a long time.  So once again, can we sincerely thank each and every one of you. All I can say is WOW! From the moment we booked this venue 2 years before we got married, we knew it was the one. Start to finish the team at Quantock Lakes have been amazing, planning a wedding comes with stress but the whole team have been super helpful with every email, text or call that I had made in the planning process - even if that was quite regular!!! Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. The accommodation was just STUNNING. All 36 of our guests said not only was it a wedding, it was like a little holiday. The rooms were stunning, the bridal getting ready room is every brides dream, the view and everything else in between was just perfect.
