HARTA retreat

We had the most amazing wedding at HARTA retreat and would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. We couldn't be more pleased with our whole experience. Aaron and Miranda are the loveliest and most helpful people. Right from the start they have been accommodating and understanding, have helped us every step of the way.

Had a wonderful stay here with my partner. We travelled by train from London which was really easy. On arrival we were greeted by great hosts and a fabulous authentic curry in the evening. The retreat is beautiful and every detail has been considered. The local area is amazing with beautiful beaches and walks.

Every bit of our stay in Sitting Bull was perfect. The attention to detail, the quality, the thought that has gone into it... all outstanding. Great hosts, great area and the best time. My husband and I have made a list of adventures, tree house, barge, yurt etc and this is definitely up there on our favourites list. Thank you for a wonderful stay xx

This place is absolutely gorgeous! We were very welcomed by Aaron and his daughter. They were lovely and super helpful throughout our whole stay. We stayed at the dancing deer. We used the outdoor kitchen and shower which was real fun. We cooked in the outdoor fire pit and burned some wood each night on the indoor wood burner. The tipi was always warm and cozy! Having a bath indoor was also lovely! We went for some really nice walks near by and there’s a close supermarket, 10min drive.

Me and my husband stayed here for a long weekend for my birthday and we were completely blown away. This retreat is absolutely stunning. We were met by Aaron and Miranda who were extremely welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always at the end of the phone if you needed them. Aaron was lovely enough to come and help us light the fire pit on the first night. We stayed in dancing deer and luxury doesn’t come close to describing how beautiful this tipi is.

Aaron & Miranda have created a truly wonderful retreat at HARTA. Tucked away in the beautiful North Devon countryside you will find this idyllic glamping experience with a difference. We stayed in ‘Dancing Deer’ one of the two luxury Tipis with its own bathroom with bath, underfloor heating, wood burner, comfy king-size bed and stunning interior design pieces sourced by Miranda. Outside of the Tipi, which is set by a running stream, is an outdoor shower, kitchen and fire pit.

WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! Harta retreat surpassed all my expectations. Do not arrive thinking glamping arrive thinking 5 star escapism!!! There’s a feeling of peace the minute you arrive, you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but in fact the beaches are only a short drive away ( that’s if you can bring yourself to leave). Your surroundings are just stunning with open fields, a stream, pond with hammocks and then of course you have your tipi.

This place is amazing! It is 5 star luxury in an absolutely beautiful setting. We have never felt as relaxed and comfortable as we did here. The Tipi’s have everything you need for a luxurious break, from under floor heating to roll top bath and one of the best beds we have ever slept in. We had a curry meal made by Aaron one evening which was so tasty and also a breakfast basket one morning, again amazing! Fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, croissants, and much more. Fantastic 2 night stay in the sitting bull tipi. Very peaceful location with excellent facilities. Our hosts were very welcoming. Overall great stay, would definitely go again l. I would highly recommend to those who love camping but still like at bit of luxuries.

This is our second visit here. This place is amazing, you can really relax and chill out and once again Aaron and Miranda made us feel so welcome. This time we could use the firepit and outside kitchen, which since out last visit has had a roof put on. There was a music event on while we were there and everyone made us feel welcome. Unfortunately due to having a month's rain in a day it did get rather muddy. The home made curries are amazing and must be tried.
