Our luxury and unique wedding venue is outstanding with warming open fires in winter, tumbling waterfalls in summer and beautiful private rooms with stunning features of the original Grade II listed Jacobean manor house all year round. We offer impeccable service in comfortable and relaxed surroundings. With both formal gardens and rambling grounds, carved staircases and ornate fireplaces, there are a wealth of perfect picture opportunities to enjoy at our country house wedding venue. Beautiful wedding ceremonies, civil partnership ceremonies and wedding receptions come naturally to us here at Fanhams Hall in Hertfordshire. Our maximum number of seated guests in the main house is 120 during the day and up to 200 standing for an evening reception. The difference is clearly in the detail. We believe your wedding should be as individual as you are so together we can create your bespoke wedding to suit your every need. From classically traditional to modern and quirky our wedding venue is as bespoke as you are. We can assure you of our dedication, imagination, enthusiasm and passion to create your perfect wedding. We have created a number of wedding packages for our venue in Hertfordshire with you in mind that allow us to take away the hassle and stress. However, we are also experienced in creating tailor-made wedding packages to ensure all the choices are yours.
The Croquet Lawn at Fanhams Hall offers a blank canvas, literally, for you to create your dream garden wedding in the heart of our estate and celebrate under the stars. Seating up to 300 guests, it's the perfect spot for a big bash! From the very start, our wedding executive Symphonie was absolutely brilliant, so organised, responsive and genuinely invested in making sure our day was perfect. She made the whole planning process feel easy and enjoyable. A few days before the wedding, we met Johnny, who talked us through all the logistics for the day. He was fantastic, calm, friendly, and professional. On the day itself, he made sure everything ran seamlessly and that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Both he and the wider team went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. The venue looked absolutely stunning, the service was impeccable, and our guests were full of compliments. The only small thing that didn’t quite match our expectations was the sweet cart we were told it would be filled to the brim, but only a couple of jars were set out. That said, it was such a minor detail in what was otherwise a truly perfect day. We’re so grateful to Symphonie, Johnny, and the whole team at Fanhams Hall for making our wedding day so special. We couldn’t recommend the venue more highly to any couple looking for a beautiful setting and an incredible team to bring it all together. Also a huge thank you to the chef and their team for the superb quality of the food throughout, but the wedding breakfast in particular was fabulous. Also a special thanks to Joanna, who deserves special mention for the care she took to welcome us and look after Mags parents and family so well, making them feel comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings, having never been to a hotel like Fanhams Hall, and made a real difference to their and our enjoyment. Our number 1 planning tip is to have a checklist/ planner from the beginning of the booking process and attend Wedding showcases to meet with suppliers as many couples don’t realise how many elements go into a wedding.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Favourite personal touch is from a wedding in summer last year where the place cards were black and white polaroid's of the guests when they were younger.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There are so many but our most popular is in front of our fountain in our Formal Gardens, however during late May/ June our Wisteria walk is stunning!

Favourite and most popular canapé is our Beef Brisket Reuben with Beef Fat Mayonnaise

Midnight treat has to be goodies from our sweet cart!

Our Japanese Gardens with our stunning Japanese Tea House that you can also use for an outside ceremony!
