Different chill-out areas mean that a spirited game of croquet can be played on the lawn or an overdue catch-up with an old friend under the shade of the mini tipi. It’s not just a stunning venue, beautifully presented and set in a lovely meadow, it has a special feel to it. Jocelyn and Sam, and their family, are the icing on the cake. They are warm, welcoming and truly care for delivering the perfect day. Putting that all together made our day truly wonderful and it was all set in the most perfect venue. The venue Jocelyn and Sam have created is a haven in the Sussex countryside, nestled in a quiet and peaceful valley just south of the quintessential village of West Hoathly. The tipis are both spacious and cocooning, meaning there’s plenty of space for guests to mingle and enjoy the bar area/ dining space and dance floor, but it also feels cosy, especially when the twinkly fairy lights come on at dusk. The outdoor space is beautiful and allows for the most wonderful reception drinks space. Our guests loved spending time on the lawn, enjoying the sunshine and gorgeous meadow surroundings and even breaking into a game of cricket at sundown! We had our ceremony elsewhere, but the stretch tent became the perfect space to retreat to after our wedding breakfast, where we served hot drinks and cut our cake. It also provided relief from the sun and offered a quiet space for our guests to relax between different elements of the celebrations. Once the sun sets, the dance floor comes into its own. The sound system is so clever at ensuring those dancing have the best experience without drowning out the rest of the tent, meaning those not dancing can still enjoy conversations and time at the bar. In regard to preparation before the Big Day, we could not have been more impressed with the organisation and communication from Jocelyn and Sam. From our first viewing they were warm, supportive and open to our many questions. They gave us advice throughout the process, suggesting suppliers and tailoring their recommendations to us to ensure the best fit in regard to food, bar and band. We are so grateful for their patience and positivity - nothing was ever a problem or too big a request! Our guests have not stopped raving about Fallow Meadow and what a wonderful venue it is. They were blown away by this hidden gem and so many asked: ‘how did you find this place?!’ We are so sad our wedding is over and we don’t have a reason to visit Fallow Meadow again. We had a 3 course meal cooked by Jacqueline Wise and her team which was so delicious and incredible cocktails from Grey’s Bars. Magical evening! Highly recommend looking around here as a potential wedding venue too, you won’t regret it ❤️ Attended an event here and it was just SPECTACULAR. The venue is stunning and owned by such lovely people. We had a 3 course meal cooked by Jacqueline Wise and her team which was so delicious and incredible cocktails from Grey’s Bars. Magical evening! The views are breathtaking and so many of our guests commented on what a find the venue was! We were the very first couple to book Fallow Meadow after attending their showcase in 2024 for our May 2026 wedding. We didn't even look at another venue because this one had completely captured our hearts. The cherry on top was the no-corkage policy, the fact that dogs are welcome, and the incredible love and care that this family has poured into creating such a beautiful venue. We even took my 94-year-old nana to the showcase, which was incredibly special. Although she wasn't able to attend the wedding itself, she got to see the venue and be part of that exciting chapter with us. Jocelyn and her family made us all feel so welcome from the very beginning and patiently answered every question I had. Jocelyn's can-do attitude was amazing, even when I told her I wanted a piñata instead of a wedding cake! Throughout the planning process, I had countless questions, but Jocelyn always came back with a reassuring "here to help" and made sure everything was answered. On the day itself, I will always remember seeing Jocelyn's smiling, reassuring face just before I walked down the aisle. I'll also never forget her mother, Barbara, kindly bringing me fans when I needed them. Those small acts of kindness meant so much. The venue itself was breathtaking. Many of our friends had attended weddings at other West Sussex venues before, but had never been to Fallow Meadow, and they were completely blown away. The space is a beautiful blank canvas, which allowed us to make it our own. We were able to use the wagon wheels for our florist to decorate and really bring our 70s-inspired theme to life. We were so pleased with how everything turned out. We honestly can't thank the team enough for creating such a wonderful venue and working so hard to make our wedding day so special. We loved every minute of it and are already hoping to come back for one of their events so we can relive the magic all over again.
