Here amid our Victorian terraced garden with a stunning countryside backdrop, our attentive staff are always there to ensure that your day is as brilliantly organised as it is special.
You will have the entire house and Gardens at your fingertips allowing you to wander across the Victorian terraced lawn, through our bridal pathway and under the kissing gate to find the perfect backdrop for your timeless wedding photos.
A truly private, family run house, and one of the most renowned landmark buildings in Holderness, it is a magical wedding venue for your truly special day.
We pride ourselves in offering you the day of your dreams. Our personalised menu service allows you to create a day to your exact requirements. You really can have either champagne and caviar or beers and pies - whatever your heart desires!
The character and charm can only really be felt, as descriptions do not do Dunedin Country House justice; therefore we invite you to come and experience the house for yourself. Please call and we will arrange a welcome visit with complimentary drinks to show you around.

- TThe Neville’s13/12/2024Perfect stress free weddingPerfect stress free weddingChoosing Dunedin house as our wedding venue was the best decision we made, from the second we walked in I knew this was where I wanted to get married, and once the canapés were brought out my husbands mind was also made up! The staff are all exceptional, everyone went above and beyond to ensure that there was literally nothing to worry about, on the morning of our wedding there was an incident involving a shirt, this was cleaned and dried within a very short window of time (and I was none the wiser until way after the wedding!) the staff put up all my decorations and table plans exactly how I envisioned, in fact it was better than I ever imagined. The accommodation was just perfect all our guests commented on how lovely clean and comfortable the beds were. The food was absolutely amazing, really lovely food fantastic portion sizes and plenty of choices to choose from beforehand, any dietary requirements were taken care of, and the day was perfect, seamless from start to finish. The house and grounds were perfect, everyone kept commenting on what a lovely place Dunedin was I can’t recommend enough! The venue is such a pretty vevue and the added extra of being able to stay over the night before and on the wedding night made it even better. It was so well organised and intimate, the staff are so helpful even helping me get my dress on and make sure I knew where everyone was when I needed to, they couldn’t have done anymore to make sure our wedding went off without a hitch, even fluffing my dress and veil to make sure it was perfect before walking down the isle. I would highly recommend Dunedin to anyone, it was without a doubt Pefect!! A big shout out to Beth and Sheila who helped make the day a big success Such an amazing day. Nothing was too much hassle and they are true professionals and know what they are doing! I wanted to DIY a lot of things to save some money on a event dresser and as there was a wedding the day before I couldn't go in to decorate so the staff did it all for me! It completely fit my vision and I couldn't be more greatful! All of our guests have commented on how amazing the food was, with some saying its the best food they have had at a wedding hands down! This is one of the many reasons we picked Dunedin as we like things a little different! The staff are amazing and the venue really feels like home! We can't wait to come back and enjoy a steak night or two as a married couple! No thank you will ever be enough for how amazing you all made our day! But we did not have to worry as we were helped and advised from day one to our actual wedding day by the Dunedin team who did a fabulous job for us. Not only with the planning of the big day but also the food recommendations, accommodation, our guests, and the outdoor options for seating and entertainment.The room decor provided by BelleBijoux was first class and provided a stunning backdrop in the fabulous setting of Dunedin Country House. It was a brilliant day and has left us and our guests with many happy memories and all the time supported by a great team with Beth leading from the front. I had my wedding here, firstly, I cannot fault their administration, they respond to emails promptly and have been thoroughly organized, supportive and helpful, they have managed every aspect of my wedding with care and professionalism and have not missed a trick from start to finish. I have found planning the wedding with them so easy and simple and really felt they cared about my special day. My wedding went off without a hitch and I think the organization they provide played a huge role in this. The prices they offer are more than fair and the service they provide is well worth every penny you spend. Their staff have been friendly and welcoming all throughout and I mean every staff member, from the admin team, to the bar, restaurant, house keeping and kitchen team, each and every one of them I found to be so welcoming and kind, each one of them willing to lend a hand or address any questions. The food and drink offered is absolutely delicious and yet again, I just cannot fault a thing. They served over 70 people, 3 courses in a prompt manor and managed to meet everyone's dietary requirements easily. The food all came out perfectly with no complaints. We had the ham hock starter, the twisted chicken pie with champ mash and the sticky toffee pudding and the presentation of each and every dish was beautiful and handled with care. The taste of each dish they offer is indescribable, we went to a taster session and found we fell in love with everything they served, it was so hard to choose a menu because of this! Behind the scenes I honestly do not know how they achieve it, but their food is obviously made fresh and end up tasting utterly delicious. The venue itself is fresh, well kept, clean and styled in a beautiful, elegant, modern, yet classic way. It is not fusty like some country houses we viewed, is is well preserved and the history of the building is also present throughout. From their car park, to their garden, to their rooms and the main house it self, everywhere you go is maintained, clean and smart looking and the venue makes an incredible background for your special days. The Venue is well situated in the beautiful and unique village of Partington, is it easy to get to and the village itself offers gorgeous views, a quiet and peaceful atmosphere and has all the extra amenities you may need whilst there, we ordered pizza in from a local shop and it was delicious and hot, whilst the men checked out a few of the pubs in the area which were also welcoming. The hotel rooms and the self catering houses are worth every penny you spend, they are immaculate and all unique. The house keeping staff turn around the rooms quickly and efficiently and the cleanliness was obvious. The beds were comfortable and cozy, each room offered everything you would need and more, they make it clear that if there is anything you need extra, that the staff there would be willing to try and help with anything that they could. Again, absolutely no complaints from any of my guests. I can't wait to return for my anniversary's and special days to enjoy a special night away in one of their bespoke and stunning rooms. I simply just cannot fault the service Dunedin has provided. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done to make my wedding as special and as memorable as possible.
