Our wedding was perfect and completely stress free! Alot of which was down the team at Saltmarshe, thank you so so much! Everything was seamless and so beautiful! Everyone we met and dealt with from our first visit to our wedding day were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. This was a real winner when choosing here for our venue as staff took the time and care to talk through anything and everything at every stage of our wedding. Thank you again for being so amazing, helpful and professional! Saltmarshe will always be a special place for us both.

Highly recommend. We had the most incredible day at Saltmarshe Hall; it was all we wanted and more. From the first communication until the day (and during) Ash, Amy and their team were so attentive, understanding and professional. Nothing was a problem to them, they advised us well to ensure that the day ran smoothly and it paid off! Saltmarshe Hall is a beautiful venue and catered for all of our needs. The food was perfect and the choices were endless. We can’t thank them enough.

We booked Saltmarshe after 1 visit, 2and a half years before our wedding. We were lucky enough to have our pre wedding party there the night before which meant our close family and friends were all there the day before we got married and familiarise themselves with the hall! From the moment we drove up it was always going to be our venue, it’s really beautiful and even with minimal styling it would still look amazing. The team were absolutely amazing and ensured the day ran perfectly. So many of our guests commented on Saltmarshe and the amazing staff. Amy our wedding coordinator was just brilliant. No matter what it was we needed she made sure it was sorted. She was so responsive and honestly by the end it felt like she was our friend as well, we trusted her and the team 100% and can honestly say they took all of the stress out of our day. We would 100% recommend Saltmarshe to anybody and we will 100% be back for visits, meals and for any other reason!! We went back for a Father’s Day lunch a couple of weeks after and the team were still just amazing, they really do make you feel at home.

I’m not sure that we’ll ever be able to put into words our gratitude to Ashleigh, Amy and the entire time at Saltmarshe Hall for all that they all put into our wedding and everything leading up to it, but we will try our best... From our first visit to Saltmarshe for a show round we know we’d found somewhere very special. Its rural, river-side setting is unmatched by any of the other venues we visited local to our respective family homes in Yorkshire and the Cotswolds, with its totally enchanting grounds and gardens, spending time there is nothing short of magical. The Hall itself has been so sympathetically and comfortably restored, we were really impressed by how the elegance of its original Georgian features is complemented by relaxed modern interior decoration and furnishing, all of which we knew would require very little dressing up at all for the wedding, which is exactly what we wanted. We therefore couldn’t believe our luck where we were able to book our wedding and a post-wedding pool party over an August Bank Holiday weekend. Despite this, It’s fair to say that I was initially very reluctant when it came to wedding planning, having been through a really stressful time around booking the wedding and thereafter, we were feeling really anxious about it. We therefore hadn’t really engaged at all with Saltmarshe Hall or in wedding planning (and had booked nothing) when we were invited to our first details meeting, six months before the wedding. So, in a panic, I called and explained our situation to Ashleigh and I’m so glad that I did as I instantly felt better — she couldn’t have been more understanding, caring and reassuring. This was a huge turning point for us and we were finally able to start feeling more excited than worried — I will always be so very grateful to her for that. We first met Ashleigh in person at our first details meeting, which we left knowing we were in the most capable hands possible — we trusted her entirely. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and to help us catch up with anything we’d missed. She, Amy and their chef even organised an extra tasting evening for us, which we enjoyed so very much. The food was not only delicious but presented with such care and attention to detail, including the dish the chef had made specially at our request. (We thought there was absolutely no way that it could possibly be as good on the day, but, spoiler alert, if anything, it was even better!) Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, no request we made, no matter how big or small, was ever too much for Ashleigh, who was always on hand to help and, we really felt, couldn’t have been more invested in us or our wedding day. She is truly one in a million and we couldn’t feel more lucky to have been able to work with her. From start to finish, Ashleigh, Amy and the Saltmarshe team ran our wedding to absolute perfection. They were always ten steps ahead, anticipating and being prepared for every possible eventuality, planned or otherwise. This meant that we were able to be totally in present in the moment with our guests (and I am not someone who switches off easily) and make the most of every single second. Ever since the wedding, our guests have also had no end of compliments for Saltmarshe Hall and loved it for all the reasons we did and more. It would therefore be impossible to note everything that impressed us and them over the weekend (the list would go on forever), but just a few of the highlights include: the friendly front of house staff who looked after everyone and couldn’t have done enough for us; the absolutely delicious and beautifully presented food, which was enjoyed by everyone regardless of their dietary requirements; how well my Mum was accommodated as a wheelchair user; the impeccably kept grounds and gardens; the sheer peace and quiet of its location that made us and our guests feel like we were in our little world… Our only complaint is that we can’t do it all over again! I cannot stress enough how our expectations have been beyond exceeded by Saltmarshe Hall and every single member of its exceptional team, we are beyond grateful to them all, and especially Ashleigh, for giving us and our guests the wedding weekend that dreams are made of — thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We look forward to taking every opportunity to come back and spend more time at Saltmarshe Hall and with the team in the future, and we wouldn’t be surprised if we had a number of our very impressed guests in tow!

We had the most amazing wedding day in April 2024. We originally viewed saltmarshe at an open evening in July 2023 and fell in love with the venue. There were no summer 2024 dates left, but Amy contacted us to let us know of some April deals where they offered a discount rate and money towards the amazing All occasions of Howden. After some thought, we decided to take the plunge and plan the wedding in 9 months. We visited Saltmarshe for a couple of meetings in the planning stages, and we got more excited every time. Amy was always enthusiastic and would handle our requests at ease - even when we had numerous changes to the meals. We booked all the rooms for two nights and really felt like royalty for the weekend, having all our family and friends there for two evenings. We had our ceremony in the morning room, which was light and beautiful, even if you have a rainy day! The venue itself was stunning and we had so many guests compliment it. Amy was fab on the day, and managed to manoeuvre all the guests with ease so we could get all the shots we wanted. Tim was also amazing at ensuring everything ran smoothly and all the guests were happy. Compared to other venues we viewed, Saltmarshe is a great value, high quality venue and we were able to add all the extras we wanted to truly make it the best day ever.

We loved this place from our first time seeing it. We knew it was the place! we booked it straight away. Gorgeous place to get married out in the country side. We got married under the wood area. It was magical! The staff are amazing!! I couldn't thank them enough! They really do help in anyway they can. Beautiful food!! Our whole experience was all positive! No negatives at all! Definitely recommend!!

Its intimate and homely feel ensured we spent the day with all of our guests and enjoyed the celebrations to the maximum. The recent refurbishments and additions transformed the venue, and I am so pleased we chose Saltmarshe Hall for our wedding. Ashleigh, thank you so much for how you coordinated our wedding, especially on the day. You showed me that all was in hand and that we as a couple were going to have the best day ever! It gave me lots of reassurance on the morning of the wedding to know that everything was just taken care of. All the team at Saltmarshe are seriously talented at what they do and present themselves so well. As the bride, I felt like the stress was just taken away and I was in good hands. The transition between staff from day to evening celebrations was flawless. You all gave a relatively large wedding, a very personal and homely feel and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for everything! We would highly recommend Saltmarshe Hall and all of the team to anyone considering a Yorkshire wedding venue. It will always be a special place to us and we will hold onto many happy memories from that day.

The venue is absolutely beautiful, the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, I would definitely recommend Saltmarshe Hall if you're looking for a unique wedding venue

We had our wedding at saltmarshe last week and I cannot thank them enough. The venue was stunning. It was imaculate, inside and out! The gardens are incredible and we’re perfect for our photos. All the staff from bar staff, housekeeping, management and everyone else there were so kind and couldn’t do enough for us. They were checking on us all through the day and it ran so smoothly. My grandparents who are almost 90 said staff were checking on them too to see if they needed anything. When we arrived at the venue the staff were waiting outside to greet us which was such a lovely touch. Thank you so so much i don’t have a bad word to say x

We could not have wished for a better venue for our wedding in October. The moment we viewed Saltmarshe Hall, we fell in love! The hall itself and the grounds are stunning and with so many options available for the ceremony, it was the easiest decision for us to book it for our big day! We had the most perfect wedding day at Saltmarshe and will cherish those memories forever! The food was amazing, the staff were so lovely and everything ran without a hitch! Ashleigh and the team are absolutely amazing and they made our dream wedding day come true! Nothing was too much trouble and we will be forever grateful for all their hard work!
