A warm welcome... Rise Hall has been hosting impeccably stylish weddings for over a decade. Precious moments of uncomplicated happiness are our constant inspiration. Your own country house! At Rise Hall, the perfect wedding staycation includes exclusive use of the venue. Rise Hall has 31 individually styled bedrooms with modern, luxurious comforts.
The ceremony is a centerpiece to the wedding day. We are licensed for civil ceremonies in the Morning Room, an elegant and light room with a stunning chandelier, original features and views across the manicured lawns of the Rise Hall estate.
The drinks reception can be held outside in the gardens with the backdrop of the stunning period house for photographs. The Belvedere Hall, with its bespoke chandelier, makes for a stunning entrance and photographs.
No celebration is complete without food and drink! As wedding packages don’t exist, your celebration is as individual, as you as a couple. The food and drink you decide to have for your wedding day has been carefully curated by our team of award winning chefs.
When it’s party time you will have our very own traditional, Yorkshire pub! Everything flows seamlessly and effortlessly from the day time reception into the evening party! The Orangery Ballroom is perfect to dance the night away!
Once your booking of Rise Hall is confirmed, you'll be introduced to your Event Manager. Viewings are held by appointment and can be arranged at a time that suits you. We cannot wait to welcome you to Rise Hall!

From beginning to end all of the staff were fabulous. Kim took the time to listen to our wishes and work with us to arrange something that met our budget and also met our wishes. Each meeting we had we felt welcomed and looked after, Kim taking the time to answer our questions and go through everything in great detail. The day itself ran very smoothly and all of the staff helped create a personal feel. Kim was adaptive to allow our day not to feel rushed and many of our guests commented on how professional and organised the staff were. The accommodation was lovely and the excellent service continued into the morning after. The staff helped to pack our decor away allowing us to enjoy the morning too. The event ran very professionally and efficiently without losing the personal feel of a smaller organisation. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
It's so hard to pick a favourite as they are all so unique and personal to the couple. We've had grooms arriving by camel, a couple who landed in their helicopter, and the celebrity one that ended with a flashmob- amazing!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Use the experience of your event manager- they will be able to recommend suppliers and tell you whether your plans are going to work or not.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
The wedding where the bride had her Grandmas as her bridesmaids, it was so lovely and intimate!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There are so many - the grand staircase for that Hollywood style entrance; the West front with its dramatic portico, the morning room with its romantic drapery, the Library with its 3000 books, the picture-perfect feature swing, or the beautiful countryside setting!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Absolutely, but we don't name names - the beauty of Rise Hall is its privacy and discretion.
What’s your favourite canapé?
A little nod to our Yorkshire countryside setting, our mini cones of fish and chips are a couples favourite! A drinks reception with canapes is ideal for all guest numbers, from intimate, microwedding to a larger celebration!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
I think you can't beat a hot sandwich after a hard night's partying! Or maybe cheese and biscuits to have with the late night port and brandy in front of the Library fire. Your Rise Hall event manager will help with all the details and coordination of your special day.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Rise Hall may be the largest stately home for exclusive hire in Yorkshire, but it also feels so warm and friendly. It's grand, but absolutely not pretentious. You can kick off your shoes and make yourself at home. One guest said 'Rise Hall hugs you' which I think is lovely! We cater for all events, including cultural celebrations. We currently have a brand new cultural, Asian menu available!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We love seeing our guests enjoy themselves, and we're proud of every event we do. There is no better job!! Recently we have won a prestigious wedding award that all the team are grateful and proud to have achieved!
