With 9 sumptuous bedrooms, all exclusively yours, Burtonfields is ideal for mid-week or weekend weddings. Have the place to yourselves surrounded by your friends and family and make the most of your wedding celebrations.
Burtonfields has been a family home for the last 135 years, but since 2021, after a thorough restoration, it has become a beautiful country house venue for weddings and events. Led by the owner, Will, the team at Burtonfields prides itself on being friendly, helpful and contactable at all times.
One key thing about Burtonfields is that we want the house to feel like yours for your wedding stay, and our focus is on providing a location where you can spend an extended period with your friends and family and hold a sumptuous wedding simultaneously!
We coordinate and staff the event on the wedding day, enabling you to focus entirely on enjoying your day. However, you have a couple of options the day before and the day after your wedding. You can have one of their recommended caterers wine and dine you the night before and provide a recovery brunch the following day, or, what many of their couples enjoy about Burtonfields, you can really make yourselves at home and self-cater.

When we first visited we knew straight away it was where we wanted to get married. The venue is beautiful, and has a personal touch that we had not found to the same extent elsewhere. The house itself is stunning; the rooms are all unique and of a high standard. Our wedding party were very comfortable during the stay. We were fortunate enough to have good weather on the day and we had a fabulous drinks reception on the lawn, surrounded by Yorkshire Wolds countryside (and sheep) which was really special. The marquee helped us fulfil our vision of a garden party wedding. Will, the venue owner, is a fantastic host. He was highly responsive and aided us with lots of small details, which was invaluable in the planning process. His team were very helpful and accommodating throughout. They had everything in hand allowing us to relax and enjoy the weekend. We cannot recommend Burtonfields enough. What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Choose suppliers who are great at what they do but who you also get on with on a personal level. You have a working relationship with suppliers throughout your planning journey so it is really beneficial to be able to communicate your vision with them easily. Also, it's like having another friend at your wedding, they're just as excited for you as everybody else there, making the whole day feel super special and personal
